I'm loving it.
I swept Leon's team with a Morpeko lol.

Its signature move seems really weird but really good. Morpeko is definitely the most unique electric rodent

Really? Man, I only barely beat him by a hair myself. Maya—my last Pokémon—only had 12 HP left, and it was the only Pokémon League battle I had to use Dynamax in (well, besides Nissa. She gave me a hard time in her gym, too). Was a shame, too, I wanted to become champ without Dynamax.

I was grossly overleveled. My Morpeko (her name is Jub) was lvl 85 lol.

Oh, snap. All my Pokémon were about level 60 when I fought him, so we were about even. I had to pull out all the stops for that battle, it was really fun!

I spent waaaay too much time in the wild area and got really strong lol.

I think I visited the Wild Area 3 times in total. Twice during the story, and once more when Leon beat my whole team with his first Pokémon. I spent a good amount of time there the first two times, but the third time I was mainly just after a Pokémon to replace my Sneasel, S. Like, I love Sneasel, but he was kinda crap. I’m surpriaed by how fun the Wild Area is, though. I love being able to stop & camp, and have other folk and their Pokémon show up. Feels like the show, where I’m just having a fun adventure, and meeting new folk along the way! Though thankfully with significantly less Ludicolo beating me up & stealing my lunch!

I spend the majority of my time in the wild area now. I love jumping into another player's one star raid and just one shotting the d.max pokemon lol.

I think they show up in the Dusty bowl during snowstorms.

You can also change the date on your switch and try to get the weather you need. Since you need snow I'm gonna guess that Christmas day is a good bet lol.

I did a test just because I got curious lol. I can confirm mawhile will show up in the wild area's giants mirror area if you set your switch date to 01/02/2020. Mawhile is also Sword exclusive though.
