Destiny’s community is large and varied. Everyone is a little different in terms of how they defeat the Darkness. We have heard a lot of stories over the years about conquering challenges, meeting new friends, and the various ways that Destiny has touched your lives. We’d like to hear more! This isn’t a contest. It’s a way for us to get to know you better, and to hear about the kinds of in-game moments that have made the largest impact on you.
So if you’re up to it, share your most memorable moments of Destiny – anything that made you feel:
• A sense of tremendous achievement
• A sense of belonging
• Devastated or heartbroken
• Utter domination
• A human connection
• Like laughing until you cried
• The moment you knew you loved this game!
Thank you for being such an amazing community. We look forward to hearing more of your stories.

Ive legit watched this company go from god tier to literal shit in 12 years Halo 3 era bungie would be crying

The way you guys have set up pinnacle engrams, the dungeon and knightmare stuff, this game doesn't feel like it suits me anymore... I think my memorable moment will be the day Destiny has evolved past me. Sad but memorable. Destiny is all I play. Just seems like y'all moving in a different direction

Vex Offensive Final assault....worst....event....ever.
-
Well one thing that made me laugh was just how low effort the final assault was
-
Playing Destiny 2 made me laugh until I cried. I laughed at how bad it is and cried at how I have no friends left that play it.

Bearbeitet von NicktheSmoker: 11/20/2019 11:17:41 PMOh wait, I got a good memory from this game. Remember when lunafaction boots were useful? Me and pepperidge farm remember those good old days. I used to play D1 and run all three characters because they all had a pretty good special that made playing each one unique and useful. I would hop on and decide which fun character I wanted to play that day. Now, when I get on I think to myself which is the one that hasn't been nerfed to death and gives me some chance of not getting wrecked on some reskinned pve activity I already got bored of. Shame.

Honestly I can't remember the last time I actually enjoyed playing this game.

King’s Fall for the first time. That moment was THE defining moment that I knew I loved this game. (Your imagination starts waving like water as you are now teleported to the past with me back to November/December-ish 2015 ) SRL has been added for a short time and me being super casual and not having a clan, a friend of mine Invites me to a full team in Iron Banner. We pop off and while I can’t remember if it was power based att I remember one of the guys asking if we wanted to do the Raid. We all rushed in saying yes, of course. And luckily due to those few matches we just had I not only raised my level to be able to enter I also just bought Hung Jury. Oh man that moment when the sisters/daughters chose the runner,...I made some friends but I also made some enemies lol sorry..... However A moment that was rather disappointing was D2 beta how we all hated double primaries and had to hate them for a whole year. But I do like how the gun system works now, perhaps we wouldn’t have known about our current system without suffering with the first, I love almost all quality of life changes, however it would be nice if we could launch activities from the directory...from the tower, similar to how you launch heroic adventure swords. Be able to access Drifter as a vendor and then go to his mote bank and launch gambit, same with Ada, Strikes, crucible etc. I think the thing I want most is for gambit to get a solid overhaul as well as more consistently putting in intentionality grinding activities like the lectern, perfection takes time so I give you my money every year in hopes that things improve. They do but slowly

Bungie cares so much about our stories that they are ignoring all of these
-
Are you idiots seriously trying the "Pride and Accomplishment" bs???

My memorable moment happened very recently, I flew in to the tower, ran down to Ikora expecting to see a finished gateway, glowing and pulsing with energy , instead I find myself staring at the same construction I’ve been staring at for weeks, I run over to it for closer inspection, there’s even an npc still working on it. WOW! I thought, just wow! My memory suddenly jumps back to a moment in destiny history “ you see that mountain over there” I thought here we go again.

I'd tell you my stories, but I don't have time... Also all my memories of a great game come from the last one. I miss being a sherpa. I also miss the raids having good loot and a reason to even attempt them. I haven't played crown of sorrow cause I HATED Leviathan and the two dumb mini raid things there I never tried. I beat Leviathan ONCE, haven't wanted to do it since. I also beat last wish once. That map is cool but the map is better in a strike from that map. And I did scourge once. That was boring as hell and as always in D2 a nightmare to figure out the mechanics for. Here's a tip - having to Google and study the mechanics of a raid from a YouTube video is dumb. If a person can not quickly and easily explain what we are doing in any given part of a raid - it's probably not gonna be enjoyable and only YouTubers and hardcore's sadists will like it. I don't even honestly care to try the two newest raids. That's something I never thought I'd say since most of the raids in D1 were some of the most fun team activities in any game I've ever played.

So my family knows I love playing Destiny and my son and his wife saw a set of Destiny candles for sale online. Now those of us that play know man those were from way back. Any way they bought them for me for Christmas. Whoever sold them (second hand seller) just threw the package in a box. Needless to say they didn't survive shipping. When they got them they were all smashed in terms of the glass holders. Soooo they went to all the trouble of buying new glass holders carefully removing the stickers of planets and materials and placing them on new holders. Melting the wax and replacing the old wicks as they poured them into the new holders. They look better than new. Of course now I have seen my Christmas present......but that is a Destiny story to remember for sure and I am sure those candles will mean a good bit to me. Those are real you had to be there moments.....

I have been playing since rise of iron so to say I am a novice would be rude but I really don’t feel like I know anything so I really like the way that so many people have been forgiving with me on my lack of knowledge during my first and really only true attempt at a raid, the taken King’s one. I sadly did not complete it had to go to a event near the end. In my time I encountered some people who had some heath issues and played to experience something other than pain and or a empty room and to hear their story’s it reminds me that life can suck but the way that they had such a positive attitude about the whole thing. It was something else honestly. I am so glad of the community I have been able to experience in this game thank you for reading my experience.

As of last week I have officially hit my own personal achievement of getting one thousand army of one medals in gambit exclusively with over half of them being from normal gambit and about 100 being from prime. I had the Dredgen badge since forsaken but this, this is what a Dredgen should strive to be

Howdy! Prior to the release of Shadowkeep I released a podcast episode about my story and why Destiny matters so much to me. You can find GamerLoop Radio on Podbean, Spotify, iTunes and GooglePlay.

Back when Destiny was made for all players, instead of elitist YouTubers and neckbeards.

My friend just passed away. We were on the road to getting him to 5500 glory and then this happened suddenly... Were going to recover his account and get it to 5500. Not for NF he never finished the Luna quests. He just wanted to get to legend.

My story I have met some truly amazing friends playing D1 and D2. Friendships that have crossed over from gaming buddies to real world friendships. About 22 months ago I suffered a heart attack and stroke, had to relearn things again, the doctor I had suggested playing video games to regain hand eye coordination. I got back into playing again, stopped playing because of how disappointing D2 launch was. Health has deteriorated further had a device installed back in June and now I am waiting on a heart transplant. I have 2 friends that I use to run VoG and Crota with that have become friends call me 3-4 times a month. I have all this time on my hands and this game has changed into something I no longer enjoy playing any more. I just gave up a clan I founded and grew from my 2 friends and myself to 90-100 on average. I am leaving the Destiny community because this game isn't fun to play any more. I am glad so many are enjoying themselves playing, but the changes that have been made have discouraged me from playing the changes have not compelled me to play more. I know this community can be toxic at times try to remember there are people that are on here to escape or take their mind off of real world problems, beating things that are way more important than a raid boss. Good luck to you guys

My clan is pretty much a family. Its brought us together closer where we talk and game kind of like therapy. It sucks when some aren't able to play during hard times but we always wait for their return and hope they are ok. Lately we have experienced alot of tragedies (loss of loved ones) as well but this has become therapy for us. Also my boyfriend and I have become closer thru Destiny. When I first started he was on Xbox1 and I was on PS4. I bought a Xbox1 and Destiny just to play with him. Now he ended up buying a PS4 and we are playng over there 4 years strong and we play everyday. We are probably going to end up having a Destiny themed wedding. Ive been gaming since Texas instrument and Commodore 64 and this has been best game ive enjoyed playing. Praying things will get better for our clan as we continue on. Thanks for reading!

I have many stories, stories for days.

I was top 1% Ogre kills in the world at one point because my friends couldn't get the Crux to drop in Crotas raid. I was xHyakkimaru at the time as I am now oxHyakkimaru.
