Warlocks are useless in PvP and give you a disadvantage more than anything. Playing warlock for PvP is basically just putting a handicap on your experience as a player. As a warlock main I am extremely upset by this as most everything I do is on my warlock character.
We are outranked by hunter and titan supers as well as their abilities. Titans have what I call the "I win" button, and hunters have a way to escape combat. Rifts, however, keep you in one area and can easily be shot through.
Super wise, we are easily outclassed. Nova bomb and chaos reach can confirm a kill or two or shutdown a super, but they are single use for a very short duration. Stromtrance, nova warp, and dawnblade can all go on a kill streak. Yet, they have shorter duration and less super armor than other supers such as fists of havoc or spectral blades (both of which are common in crucible).
As well as having those shortcomings, movememt and PvP exotics are also bad compared to the other classes. Yes there are some good things for warlocks in PvP like, handheld supernova and divine protection, but they still get outclassed and consume your grenade.
What I'm trying to get at is that there is no point in playing warlock in crucible. Hunters and titans are far better for PvP and this won't change anytime soon.
[Edit] I think people are misunderstanding what I'm saying. I'm saying that other classes just have far better abilities/equipment for PvP than warlocks. I'm not saying that it's impossible or tough to play as them, just that other classes have better PvP utility. A good PvP exotic is what I'm asking for more than anything.

Totally agree with you, dude. Bungie, make warlocks more playable for PvP. It's seems that you, i'm apologize, don't give a f**k about warlock mains for PvP. It's very, very sad. In moment, when titans with OP exotics like OEM doing crazy things in PvP, and arc hunters from last moment doing the same sh$t with evasion + OP exotic + mod for overshield after evasion with CD 10 seconds, warlocks seems like a weak unplayable weak SH*T! All people in community just kidding about warlocks, nobody wants to play pvp for them in comp. Are you kidding, bungie? Are you kidding? I can't believe you won't notice the difference

When someone starts their rant with "<insert class> is useless", you just know it's gonna be a whole lot of dribble.

Dawnblade, storm caller

Dude I wreck with warlock. Warlock is love. Warlock is life.

Bearbeitet von michael: 10/20/2019 2:50:51 PMWarlocks can be the best or at least better but they have a wider skillgap so it is harder to get good with them than a hunter or titan, that is my experience with hundreds of hours on each

Try running high discipline, grenade cd related mods . Mid voidwalker. And Contraverse Hold. With 70 discipline discipline you can roughly OHK with handheld supernova ever 20ish seconds. And contraverse makes you super tanky. (40% less damage while charging grenade) Or pop in Ophidean for nuts melee range.

You have blink jump which is dope and rift is super useful. This all sounds like a you problem rather than a warlock problem

I dunno I rarley play warlock. Went in a few hours ago with Mid tree Nova, Last Word, Beloved and had some fun.
-
What are you talking about. I kickass with a warlock in pvp

I main Warlock and have done since the first day of D1, I've noticed the OP's points but I persevere. I run Stormtrance top skill tree, it lasts no longer than a double kill normally and I've found Blink to be useless lately. With the new Armour 2.0 mods, I find it harder to even get that. They're becoming rarer to see on in PvP, but I still enjoy the class.

Hey man think of it this way, warlocks take the most skill to succeed with. Btw warlock main since year 1 of d1
