Name and shame! Attention Ninjas

I'm curious which definition of Liberty you nvoke in your mind when you remove a post. A little transparency on bungie's part ( in other words actually letting us know what happens to these cheaters ) would stop all of this name and shaming and would help you learn the correct definition of the word liberty
Moderator edit: This thread has been updated with tags that are more appropriate. Feel free to private message the moderator who moved your post, link to topic, for further clarification about why this topic was moved.
• We're not invoking a definition of liberty, we're enforcing strict guidelines set forth by our hosts on a privately held website. Specifically in the Code of Conduct it's spelled out as harassment that each user has agreed to upon joining. Here is our long definition for context: https://www.bungie.net/en/Groups/Post?groupId=121&postId=162456429&sort=0&page=0&path=0&showBanned=0 What is harassment?
Bungie.net's moderating team may judge that a user is engaging in harassment if that user is seen attempting to make Bungie.net an unwelcoming, uncomfortable, or hostile environment for another specific user or group of users. Harassment may include a variety of conduct, but often involves multiple replies to posts by the targeted victim(s) or "calls to action" by the harasser trying to cause others to participate in the harassment. Harassment often includes, but is not limited to, repeated personal attacks, threats of violence/hacking/doxxing/swatting (or other negative action) against another user, accusations of cheating/hacking/other illegal activity, thread derailment attempts, suggestive or sexually explicit language, or other disrespectful posts. To be clear, harassment is prohibited even if you feel the other person deserves it. For this reason, "naming and shaming" suspected cheaters/hackers, "counter-trolling," and attempts to "expose" users that are lying about themselves may all constitute prohibited harassment and result in your removal from this website. Users that attempt to make Bungie.net a hostile or unwelcoming environment for any other user will not be tolerated. If another user offends, annoys, or irritates you, the only appropriate course of action is to ignore him or her, or (if they are violating the CoC) report him or her to the Bungie.net moderating team
We (Forum Ninjas) are carrying out Bungie's policies to remove this content as it's subject to potential harassment for all parties involved (the accuser, the individual being accused and the tone of the thread itself with abiding parties). Make no mistake, threads that involve such discussion and are "dogpiling" to specific individuals who claim there are cheating isn't good for anyone. These threads have always (and will continue to be) shut down. The biggest piece of advice here - let Bungie deal with supposed "cheaters". They have all the tools at their disposal to look into these cases, and no one here on the forums like you or I does to prove one way or another. You have to look no further than the #Help forum to see that action regularly takes place. Bungie sometimes even responds about their game bans on the forums and gives specific reasoning why/when it happened. But regardless, accusations on the forums (true or false) does not breed positivity and won't be tolerated here.

    • Maybe a little weekly news letter like we have here in our state letting us know who committed the offenses and what their punishment was would go a long way to stopping this practiss on both sides
