My opinion?
If you’ve already made that decision, one way or the other, then you don’t actually believe in the very things you guys sit here and argue over.
Being a shit president isn’t grounds for impeachment. And none of us are in a position to determine if laws were broken.
We have a justice system. Let it play out. And accept whatever the outcome is.

Clinton wasn't an awful president, but he did get impeached for lying under oath of not having extramarital sex. I don't see how, at least at the time, lying about getting a blowjob by an intern at the time would constitute as being a threat to national security, iirc about the whole trial. If the House successfully agrees with impeachment of Trump, he will be formally impeached, and if Senate finds him guilty of the crimes, then he would be removed from office. Personally, I think the House will be able to impeach Trump given how more and more Republicans are starting to distance themselves away from Trump in the House, but I don't think Trump will be convicted in Senate given how Moscow Mitch pretty much said he would hold the trial, but only do it as a formality and then declare him innocent after. It would pretty much be Clinton Impeachment 2: Electric Boogaloo, except it's with a Republican president this time if the scenario I'm thinking of actually went through.
Being a shit president isn’t grounds for impeachment. And none of us are in a position to determine if laws were broken.
Actually, a shitty president can be impeached! Impeachment is a political process, not a criminal trial. So the House and Senate could theoretically remove Trump for whatever reason, at any time.

Actually impeachment isnt used for that. Its expressly for high crimes or misdemeanors. If that was true, Jimmy Carter should have been impeached.

Bearbeitet von cRaZyT101: 10/12/2019 12:26:39 PMAnd to define "high crimes and misdemeanors":
The charge of high crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct by officials, such as dishonesty, negligence, perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of public funds or assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty, unbecoming conduct, refusal to obey a lawful order, chronic intoxication, or tax evasion.
There's quite a few I could pick here that would apply to Trump: Unbecoming conduct Dishonesty Refusal to obey a lawful order Misuse of public funds/assets Abuse of authority Potentially bribery Potentially intimidation Dereliction of duty Potentially tax evasion

Tax evasion is a stretch. Thought about it after my last post. IRS can only go back 7 years. Since he has been President for 3, thats 4 as a private citizen. Dishonesty would be highly subjective considering Obama lied to the American people about Obamacare, " You can keep your plan, You can keep your doctor" that was a lie. Unbecoming might be possible. Dereliction has to be proven, which is again highly subjective. The others are going through the courts. More info on details would be nice.
Tax evasion is a stretch.
That's why I said "potentially".
Dishonesty would be highly subjective considering Obama lied to the American people about Obamacare
Much like how there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. If you think Obamacare of all things is good enough to not charge Trump on cases of "dishonesty" (hint-hint ads that state lies about political rivals on facebook), then idk what to tell you mate. Just because you believe one president "lied" because a promise went unfulfilled does not allow future presidents the ability to lie whenever they feel like it.
Dereliction has to be proven, which is again highly subjective.
Dereliction of duty:
Generally, dereliction of duty refers to failure through negligence or obstinacy to perform one's legal or moral duty to a reasonable expectation. In other words, it means willful or negligent failure to perform assigned duties or performing them in a culpably inefficient manner.
So, we have options here. We could talk about his golf trips. We could talk about him ratting out our own spies. We could talk about that pretty satellite picture. We could talk about the failed peace talks and treaties. We could talk about how he failed to enforce sanctions on Russia. We could talk about his refusal to accept that there was interference in our 2016 election, and talk about how he failed to push for better security. We could talk about his unsecured cellphone he carries around. So many options just off the top of my head.

More details on each one would be helpful. That way I can address and see what your seeing. You might be right, I dont read everything available or even have the time.
