I still don't understand what was wrong with keeping the infusion system from D1? There was literally no point in changing it.

Bearbeitet von TJ_Dot: 10/3/2019 5:56:30 PMIt was "too easy" and it made hitting max "less fulfilling" somehow despite it being no more fulfilling when expensive, only more annoying Buying a $1000 prying pan should not be more fulfilling than a normal good frying pan that costs not even near as much. IT'S A FRYING PAN
I still don't understand what was wrong with keeping the infusion system from D1? There was literally no point in changing it.
There were a lot of things in D1 that there was no point in changing them. Factions that they messed up big time that they removed for over a year now and how many months? No proper updates when it comes to the rest of the vendors in the game that in D1 they got a fresh full inventory just about ever DLC. Making D2 more of a cosmic game. The 2 primary system that was a fail. Removing the skill tree Creating the mod system that D1 didn't even need because of the skill tree and in-game menu that you could customize your states among other things. Or how about things like removing the grimoire cards. I can make a huge list of the pointless changes that didn't "need" to take place that this game set them back with 2 major overhauls when they should have been moving forward from the day D2 released creating new content, not trying to someone make this like D1.

You are absolutely 100% correct. Infusion should NEVER cost an arm and a leg or feel grindy EVER. Infusion gives us the right to have an identity in a digital world...and Bungie is taking that away from us. I was absolutely furious about it last year when Forsaken came out...and here we are a year later and Bungie still doesnt get it.
-
They do get, its just they're doing things their way which isn't the best interest for the game nor the player base. I know why things are the way they're and it's all Bungie'sown doimg for not taking what worked for D1 and apply it to D2.
-
Gerr, cell phones. Texting and driving on a bumpy road in the passenger seat is not working well for me 6 in the morning, lol.
-
Driving from the passenger seat sounds like your biggest problem.
-
Oh, so that is why things were so bumpy this morning.
-
Bungie always feel the need to try and fix what ain't broke
-
D1 you had plenty of loot to chase, D2 you don't. Bungie replaced loot with grind time.
-
That’s wrong, but okay.
-
That’s wrong, but okay.
Alright, let's play 😄 Show me how I was wrong and I will show you how I was right, okay?
-
It all comes down to you pushing your opinion as if it’s a fact.
-
Bearbeitet von MONKEYGOTRABIES: 10/3/2019 7:05:25 PMNumbers aren't opinions, they're facts. People have counted legendaries from releases. Every release in D2 has had on average 40% less loot than D1. This is a fact, not an opinion.

Agreed. What is considered “good” or “quality” loot is subjective. But, there is just as much loot now, numerically, maybe even more now bc of D2yr2 activities, than I remember in all of D1. And now with all the swapping in/out of mods, our options are greater to tweak builds more precisely. That being said, the “purchase through the gunsmith” price to masterwork a single piece of armor is clearly, Very clearly, a shot off the bow from Bungie. What they are saying is: “We don’t want ppl buying masterwork builds, only end-gamers should have access to it”.

Not a smart move 😄 Good luck with that I guess, this means don't expect another reply because you have nothing to say.

What you said was total bullshit. Do you expect an essay?

Bearbeitet von MONKEYGOTRABIES: 10/2/2019 6:11:47 PMI said it a LOOOONNGGGG time ago- currency is content now. It looks like nothing's changed, maybe it's worse. The "hardcore" applauded chasing enhancement cores as "something to do," Bungle said they were going to cater to the "hardcore," so here we are with them giving the "hardcore" what they want- slow tedious grinds for resources. Currency is content.
-
Bearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 10/2/2019 10:28:17 PMYeah, they can cater to the hardcore, but their player base is going to drop off big time shortly knowing this mess.
-
Conveniently, Destiny Tracker isn't showing player stats for launch......again. Same shit, different launch. Generally, launch day should give you a pretty good idea of what 80-90% of sales is, but now that new light is F2P, it would give you a pretty good idea whether there was an influx of new players and how significant that bump is. But the data is obfuscated.
-
DT is good to check things out but the player base count is a false count. I'm sure it's up there because of the free to play part but Bungie will not show pre-order sales. They use to because they made good sales, not anymore.
-
Bearbeitet von MONKEYGOTRABIES: 10/3/2019 7:06:39 PMI'm pretty sure DT hasn't shown stats at launch since vanilla D2 arrived. It started going blank for 3 to 5 days whenever new content launches since CoO dropped. Obviously they have tremendous confidence in their numbers. So shady and so utterly transparent.
-
Why do you think that the hardcore people likes to pursuit some tedious resources?
-
I still don't understand what was wrong with keeping the infusion system from D1? There was literally no point in changing it.
Yeah, D1 Infusion Cost was enough. Legendary Shards, Glimmer and Planetary Materials is enough currency to Infuse. Anything beyond that, Bungie is just over killing their Game.
