I was thinking about unique Community Challenge ideas that could take place, or at least that would seem somewhat enjoyable in the future that were kind of outside the realm of what we're used to seeing with encounters in the PvE world.
Now, in terms of whether or not this is even possible to implement, I really have no idea.
Anyway, to the point:
What if there was a constant cycle on each destination, where a randomly designated player was given "juggernaut" type attributes. So, extra shields, elemental resistance, increased damage output, etc. Players in the open world could then work together to defeat the player and then the power and abilities were then transferred to another player.
Obviously there are some details that would need to be ironed out, such as what if you as the player don't wish to be engaged by the juggernaut? With this I imagine if it was possible, the trigger for activating the encounter could be shooting the juggernaut a certain amount, at which time you are committed to the activity until you're killed, at which time you would need to trigger the event again.
So, thoughts on the idea? And remember, this is just a very rough concept I wanted to float out there to see what people thought, mainly because I thought it seemed like a neat idea. But in reality, it honestly seems like a huge pain to code with triggering the event across so many destinations, fair rotation, balance, and several other items that I imagine would also need to be considered when I think about it.
