It really needs to change.
I’d say one of the underlying issues in Raids is that there aren’t as many hero moments any more because every time there’s an opportunity for a fireteam to 2 man the remainder of the encounter they get wiped because of the timer. Go back to the old system or at least just remove the wipe timer.
Edit: All the "Get Good" and "Don't Die" posts obviously completely missed the point of this post, because if they had taken a second to read and understand they would have realized I'm calling for Bungie to stop force wiping an entire team because of a slip up and to let the remaining fireteam make the call whether to wipe or try and clutch.
No, you need to learn what raiding is. One slip up in a crucial situation should lead to a wipe. Its the only way for people to learn not to screw up mechanics. "Hero" moments are very rare in raids, as they should be. Raids are GROUP activities not a single player carring everyone. I personally don't like the wipe timer and instead the enrage timers should be wiping us if you have more than 2 deaths because each time you die you get a damage down debuff or something.

no this guy knows what raiding is you should maybe take your own advise

Nah, he doesn't know raiding. Been raiding all of D1 & D2. Been raiding FFXIV Savage and Ultimate tiers. OSRS raiding and some Mythic raiding in WoW. People dying at a bad time with mechanics coming up? Yup happens all the time and leads to a wipe. Mechanics get wierd when people die. First rule of raiding is to not die. The act of raiding is getting better at raiding and the game. In other games you are also limited on revives. WoW you get 2 rez. FFXIV? Depends on how much mana your healers have, max you can have is 2 usually but if its a new raid tier you can afford maybe 1 rez. Yeah, raiding is brutal, welcome to raiding, maybe Bungie can finally stop making casual raids and make an actual challenging raid... nah they never will.

You know I actually agree with you, butIi think thats his point? I think there should be no revives, so if you dont want to wipe you have to be damn good players capable of doing multiple peoples jobs, not wiping to a cheap timer.

To wipe because some one is dead will happen, but yes the timer is dumb... but its almost necessary because of how bad these raids are. Enrage timers don't exist besides you get X chances at a dps phase on a boss... which makes DPS a joke. In all other raids you have to balance doing mechanics and doing dps to the boss at the same time... its called DPS uptime. In order for raids to actually be raids for Destiny, they would need to remove that wipe timer and change bosses to require a balance between DPS and mechanics. If you have too many deaths you won't kill the boss because you lose damage, maybe add a damage down debuff for a minute when you get revived. That's fine. The timer does need to be removed, as I stated, but OP is complaining about how mechanics are made for 6 people and one death can force a wipe... that's a 'no sh**' fact on raiding overall.

There are still enrage mechanics but you never get to them because we had way too much dps capabilities. The removal of auto reload and buff stacking will hopefully fix that. -
Enrage only really happens if you fail to kill the boss after 3 dps phases. A real enrage time is, you have X time until the boss enrages. Kill him before then or wipe.

Bearbeitet von Bob Louie: 9/16/2019 12:27:15 AMI thought he was complaining that there is no possible way to complete them with a death because bungie presses their magic kill fireteam button which is cheap and boring which is what I agree with, also what you describe with balancing mechanics during damage sounds great to me but I disagree that that necessarily has to be how a boss goes for it to be good, I think d1 bosses were good but what you describe sounds like a good idea for future bosses

WOOOW, almost 3 minutes you get before wiping, if you seriously run out of time... that means other people were dying beforehand. Maybe he should be looking at ALL the deaths instead of just 1.

You are completely missing the point but whatever, we disagree
