Revive tokens are the worst. Honestly one of the reasons it took me so long to start raiding again. I can point to them as an easy example of a difference in design philosophy that made D1 great and D2 frustrating. Raids can be challenging while still being fun, they don’t have to be 100% tedious or stressful.

Sometimes you don't have a token. Sometimes you have to wipe because it's the beginning of an encounter and you don't want to wast a token yet. The point is that they are dumb and serve only to slow down the raiding experience and exclude people

They can't be that bad. I'm a scrub in raids in D1. No one let me raid cause even when I watched guides and listened- I didn't have 1 clear. So I was always blamed. D2 raids are so easy- if you are dying it is connection issues or u are unfamiliar with ad spawns. It is bittersweet seeing D1 raid vets struggle to raid now- I generalized you guys as gate keepers to my experience really. So it is hard for me to empathize with you. But according to D1 standards- my D2 raid report is worthless and I still wouldn't be allowed a kingsfall. Go ahead and look- I'm a scrub at raiding. You should be fine- revive tokens dont do squat.

And like I said... it’s more an example of the philosophical change in the design team. I can live with revive tokens but what other bullshit mechanics are they going to introduce now that they’re willing to put in annoying stuff like this. Also, a little weird that anyone who raided in D1 is “enemy” to you. That’s... yeah, ok. Have fun out there.

Do you know what gatekeeping is? Every raid group I tried to join quite literally said "without 1 clear u are out or we womt have u" Now i see then struggling with the same issues I did. It got reversed. Sorry i super mistyped cause i was falling asleep. As i said it is bitter-sweet. Part of me is truly not ok that older raiders from D1 are struggling- u guys made the franchise. Part of me- (immature side) is happy cause well, what else does the inner 7 year old feel lol.

Just know why I understand your anger, you're possibly shitting on people that wouldn't have done that to you. I would argue the assholes you encountered are probably even worse now with D2 raids and probably aren't the people here complaining. They're most likely still gatekeepers.

These raids do feel different (I watched d1 raid guides b4). They are either too easy or too mechanic heavy.

Well based on what you just said, you can vent all you want. You're not just sitting back hating. Words are one thing, but based on actions you made a goal to not treat people the way you were treated so good stuff man. I completely understand that feeling you have though. Not with raids but other things. The hardest part in life is resisting the urge to become just like the assholes that make us angry once we attain a level of power. I'm not always good with that myself and it's something I still have to work on getting better at.

I slowly get more and more power over things- and I bitterly remember being treated worse by my superiors. So hard not to act on hate- but I know there is no point to it. In destiny 2 compared to D1 I'm considered a hardcore player whereas in D1 I played the exact way but was considered a casual. It is so weird getting NF and doing raid completions- when before I could only dream of that. I only hope a Xbone player sees this and adds me- i want to open up a network of players so they have fun. Thanks for your comment- wholesome forums today ^_^
