There's a spreadsheet where they tested the damage. With melting point, synthoceps and then popping your super, the damage should be close to the same (they didn't put numbers for that, but just adding 50% to the synthoceps fire forged damage gives you around 600k+ especially since hammer strike does quite a bit of damage). It's around 20-30% less damage on average, but can actually be near 10% or within 5% because the number of embers is distance based.
