Potential throttling of XP using certain weapons
Seen clearly and without doubt is the Prometheus Lens stop giving XP for enemy kills. The +144 goes away after a few seconds, even while still shooting enemies, indicating that it's not a visual display bug but that no XP is actually being earned.
Switching to another weapon, also shown clearly and without doubt, awards XP as normal. This eliminates blaming it on the number of elements on the ground such as orbs and ammo crates.
