Another proposed solution to the Menagerie chest issue

So I was discussing this with some Clanmates yesterday, and I thought of a compromise on the Menagerie chest issue. This may have been suggested before, but honestly, there's too many posts for me to look through to find out, so I'm making another one. Cuz that makes sense.... Anyway: What if the number of chests that you are presented with at the end of the boss fight was dependent on how many sections you had qualified for the Triumph for? If you qualified for the Triumph at every encounter, I believe you would have 4 encounters. So this would give you 4 chests. This would: 1. Solve the issue of people complaining about not being able to farm the exploit any more. 2. Give rewards based on your performance (ie, the better you do, the more chests you can open at the end, up to the max of 4). 3. Encourage people to play/discourage AFKers, as engaging teamwork from all players would result in more chests for everyone. 4. Answer the question of "If we can only get one chest, why do we still have 300 seconds?" 5. People could re-slot runes right there instead of having to run out, re-slot, run back in and open the chest. 300 seconds should be plenty of time for this, for most people. Wondering what you guys think, and what @Bungie thinks, of this compromise.

  • it's funny how you state there is an issue with the chest. nobody complained before the glitch was found and liked the activity. now there are many posts whining about not being able to cheese up the chest. the activity is a long as a strike and as easy as one too, and the rewards are infinitely better than strikes and you get to choose your weapon type and what masterwork you get. how is this unrewarding to you? can you name any other activity in destiny where you get to do these things?
