Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten. What have we learned from this controversy?

Everyone is talking about what they think about the nerfs coming up. Is Bungie doing the right thing? How are you going to respond to these actions? How should we respond? Does it even matter? I think this just goes to show that this version of PvP is okay... But far from perfect. A multi-year experiment and the results are in... We can't keep doing multiplayer this way. It just doesn't work. Some fun can be had. If you join the meta then you have a chance. If you team up with friends you got a shot and it can be fun. But outside of that it's rough waters. And it keeps dividing the community. Putting people against people NOT just in the game... But in all of social media as well. People fighting and arguing over which gun should be nerfed/buffed. Why it should be. Why it shouldn't be. Fighting each other. Calling each other names. Tearing each other apart. Everyone basically throwing hate at everyone else that doesn't share the same opinion. Why is this okay? Why does Bungie keep allowing this kind of environment? This has to be an indicator. A change has to come. It's probably too late for Destiny 2. But Destiny 3... And whatever else they put out in the next year or two... Is a chance to change the scene and make a way less dis-unifying and controversial multiplayer. The problem I believe is with the "bring your own gun" quality of the Crucible. Which of course is a by product of the looter-shooter mostly. But my idea for the next game's version of the Crucible is a simple fix really. Setup everything else like the previous games mechanics. Armor, abilities, and supers would work the same. But the weapon system will be more like Halo. Instead of bringing your own gun you have to look around the map and find new guns. And it won't effect PvE because you can still looter-shooter and use your own weapons in PvE as much as you want. Wouldn't that be awesome? Here is a post I made about the idea in the Bungie forums if you want to read more on how it could work. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/251680905?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 But yeah just wanted to throw that out there. Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten getting nerfed because of Crucible? It's sad for the PvE side of things because these guns do amazing damage to yellow bar enemies. More than other primary ammo weapons as far as I have noticed. And now they won't anymore. Because of PvP. However if the Crucible was like how I explained above... This wouldn't be a problem. If a gun was a problem in the Crucible in the way I explained for it to work. They could just take it out of the game mode or map where it was spawning. Supers too crazy? Disable them. Or make a separate playlist with them disabled. Easy fixes. No messing up how it would work in PvE. But yeah those are my ideas on this. We just have to change the environment. One little tweak here and one little tweak there isn't going to fix the overall problem. Thanks for reading if you made it this far. God Bless. Rigel
