There is no point in talking about infusion. But I get the frustration.

Thousands of upvotes on hundreds of threads. The point has been made. They have most definite heard the complaints, and their silence on the matter speaks volumes. They can't remove cores. Forsaken was built with this system embedded. That is why every "solution" centers around adding more cores to the game. Otherwise, they would have been removed ages ago. If there is a fall expansion, expect another rework of that system. Until then? Accept the fact that they are going to flood the market with them, to make cores meaningless to ALL players, not just the people with way too much time on their hands. My suggestion, for the future? Remove the soft cap in future games, all items drop at or above your current level. Infusing an item has a glimmer, shard and material cost, commensurate with the rarity of the items being infused. This cost goes or down based on the masterwork level of the items involved(up for lower tier into a higher tier, down for the reverse). Masterworking requires masterwork cores, and is reserved for the cream of the crop gear that we CHOOSE to upgrade. Cores are refreshed upon the introduction of this system to level the playing field. And many of the avenues for obtaining them remain as they are. At the start of each season, gear is locked at or above the previous seasons power cap. In Drifter, for example, there would no longer be drops below 650 for anyone over 600(the starting point of BA's power climb). There would be no need for "boosts", the game would automatically push players into the next bracket. That way, within a few days of normal play, people would be able to get to the new seasons starting point, and then do a general level climb from there. Ask yourself, what do you do with Blues and Purples that drop below your level? Understand that you are ALREADY at that level, so having gear that you don't have to waste materials on has NO impact on your overall power progression. It simply gives you the option of using what you find, on level, while you grind up to a seasonal max. Powerful engrams would have the choice between weapons or armor as they did at the end of D1, so that you could curate your progression a little better. I might even suggest this be associated with weekly milestones as opposed to both weekly and daily. That way progression wouldn't get too out of hand, but we would still be rewarded for our time spent. Pinnacle rewards would be the primary source of end game content, in associating with the seasonal/event activities. Separate from general level progression. With offerings from a variety of vendors, much like it is now. Eververse would reward and sell ORNAMENTS for the seasonal gear, but the gear itself would be associated with world vendors or activities. Too many items are obtained via RNG and the eververse, especially considering how many of the vendors in game have not been updated on a seasonal or even yearly basis. This keeps the world fresh AND provides incentives for using Eververse, These are just a few suggestions as to how to enhance the experience. They are not particularly ground breaking, and I am sure they have been discussed before, so take them as you will. Just my fiddy cent. Cheers.
