Forges should be selectable from orbit like the Reckoning. Having to go there every time and having to see Ada every time makes the process needlessly tedious.
The Reckoning should auto back out and requeue after completion like the forges. An auto countdown timer to start the next match doesn’t work because it doesn’t replace people that leave quickly enough.

Thanks for the feedback. I really like the way the Reckoning lets you keep rolling through the experience without having to go back to orbit. But yes, the negative to that is you can get out of sync when players join in progress. I'll let the team know that you would rather have it back you out to orbit to match again similar to the Forges.
-
Disagree on reckoning. If the team is doing good why boot them and match make again?
-
I was thinking this earlier but it makes for longer play time.
-
Excellent Idea. Hope bungie listens
-
Reckoning needs like an activation switch in the area so that way it doesn't autostart and you're alone.
-
i rarely play forges because the entire process is tedious and certain forges are annoying and infuriating to play. if i could at least carry multiple of the radiant forms and didnt have to return to ada every so often...
-
While I agree on the forge orbit selection, I have to disagree with the reckoning. What happens if you get paired up with a group and you do fantastically? You might never see them again and get stuck with the derpiest sons of monkey spankers this side of XBL.
-
Yeah let's go back to matchmaking after a successful run of the reckoning with a great team...... Excellent idea! NOT!
-
Reckoning shouldn't start until 4 guardians stand on 4 plates right next to the bank. That way, it will guarantee 4 non-afk guardians.
-
Forges could benefit from some TLC, but I don't mind having to go physically to the location to begin it. As for reckoning, I like the fact its setup to grind without the load screen each time. It does need a ready up button or some other mechanic so it doesn't force you into a fail loop because it starts automatically and you're trying to get things moving while waiting, then someone joins but it's too late and you fail so they just bail hoping for a better matchup.
-
Forge matchmaking is terrible. I usually have to start solo for a last a min before the rest of the team gets in.
-
It's funny in the Reckoning. After a completion everyone is looking at each other. Are they staying or are they leaving? When someone pulls out their ghost it usually means bye-bye. Having to see Ada so often was an odd choice by Bungie. It is such a departure from how Destiny normally plays that I often forget that I need to go back to her.

Beyond Tier 1 in The Reckoning this is not the case. With that said the Reckoning needs reworked so that it is not a "Matchmade Raid" with ridiculous mechanics.

(-blam!-ing Companion app interface. Miss clicking slightly on the note area and bye bye to a long unposted reply. -blam!-…) Anyway, I don’t totally agree. Reckoning totally needs the fireteam to stay together after each run. Only one attempt would not be enough time to learn from others, to mesh. Now if you fail on the first attempt, we can succeed on consecutive runs. (With always random teams, it would require you to either have KWTD randoms, or good support class players being in the mix or you probably fail. And everyone would leave frustrated. With the current system people can learn and/or adapt and feel accomplished. And good teams can run multiple times [to grind on bounties, or weapons etc.]) Forges really need option start from orbit, and a way to replenish bullets (a-la raid banner). Also it is a given that unnecessary extra trips to Ada-1 should be removed. But the activity is so easy and short that it wouldn’t benefit from the recycled fireteam feature. (Besides everyone needs to return to Ada anyway… Or post office since you don’t have enough space for all drops, and there isn’t enough time to dismantle all blues etc.…)

I believe Forge was done the way it was so Anthem would copy it. I mean look at all the loading screens based between the two and how long and boring they are. Also how things can start before the entire teams spawns. Yea it was Bungie trying to trick Anthem into failing.
-
Don't forget the fact that you have to visit ada as the 2nd to last step, which is completely tedious filler.
-
Bungie also need to change how the game deals with error codes, because the default action for error codes (presumably networking-related) is to send you to orbit, or even worse, to the title screen. They should change it so that after being hit with an error code, the game automatically sends you back to the last activity you were doing, or at least offers you that option. I was in a Forge and got a bee error and got sent back to orbit, which meant having to go back down to the planet and ride my sparrow back to the Forge, it's ridiculous.
-
Something needs to be tweaked on both of those. Weirds me out that I’ll end up just sitting there waiting on more people for reckoning.

Reckoning is fine but Forges need to be selectable from orbit definitely.
-
I agree with the forge but reckoning should stay the same. Sometimes you have to fail a few times and work out the kinks. When the chemistry hits however you will be very happy you have the same crew. I have failed with a group 3 times only to turn around and complete it 7 times. My complaint with reckoning though is the people who come in at bare minimum light level. Bungie needs to fix it to where you need to be 690 power period. It’s unbelievably frustrating when you are at the bridge and the 680 keeps dying and we’re missing out on orbs and supers to help control it.
-
Reckoning is completely fine, forges could do with a couple quality of life changes like not needing to return to Ada after doing the "20 multikills" or whatever your frame has. And forges could do with being selectable from the map too (but dont remove them being in the world because i love that).
-
No. I agree the Forges should be selectable but it’s not a huge hassle. And Reckoning is fine the way it is. No point in asking them to work on stuff and waste resources just cause you’re lazy and don’t wanna wait around for a minute.
-
I disagree on requeue. It is so tough to find a decent team for reckoning I'd like to maybe get 2 or 3 or more runs if I finally found a decent team. I can leave whenever I'm ready or want to try and find another team. Don't want to be forced to bang my head against a wall for another hour every time. Definitely agree that someone should actually have to start the encounter though and not some arbitrary timer
