This is what makes me want to bang my head against the wall. Thorn was the most complained about gun in Destiny history. The outcry of this gun in D1 made the cores and Luna/NF complaints look minimal.
This gun was nerfed so hard, it was nerfed into the ascendant realm. When it was rumored to return, it should've been known from the start that Thorn wasn't gonna be close to post nerf D1.
People are upset, but I can't help but ask, what exactly in the context of actual -blam!-, were you thinking Thorn was going to be? Bungie might be stupid, but they're not that stupid to bring back pre-nerf D1 Thorn.

Yeah I hear ya there @Random Hero 53, Thorn's history was interesting to say the least... I guess if I was gonna sum down my massive post above, and answer your question on what you were thinking Thorn would be at the same time I'd say this: I thought Thorn would have perks that further augment what should have been it's already impressive Guardian killing ability. As it is now the Thorn just doesn't stake up against weapons like Ace, NF, Luna, or TLW when realistically it should based on its history and original purpose. :/

Even post-nerf D1, Thorn was basically a hand held mida with DoT. The range and precision was insane even post nerf. Post-nerf D1 Thorn in D2, would have people in an uproar.
