It's a PvE game. PvP is a cancerous tumor trying to kill it.

Hahaha go play anthem kid, this game isn't for you
-
It's had PvP since day one. It's both a PvE AND PvP game. Deal with it.
-
Or you guys burn through content faster then it made so you resort to complain about something that is optional?

Destiny would be dead long ago if it wasn’t for the replay-ability of crucible.
-
Pvp is the most boring part of this game. I hear the argument "its different every time" but thats not true in the slightest. Everyone uses whatever is the meta. Thats not different every time. If i went into a pvp match right now, i guarantee more than half the people would be sporting lunas, dustrock and wardcliff. That sounds like rivetting gameplay to constantly die to the same thing over and over and over and over and over. And dont even say " i dont use those" because you dont even count for a 100th of a percent of all the pvp people playing this game who do.

Bearbeitet von Blimgauss: 1/31/2019 9:48:19 PMEven if everyone uses the meta, they all use it slightly differently. One guy will crouch and hide with a shotty while another will aggressively ape you. Playing against humans is always different, unlike playing a strike or raid. Once you've done it once, you may as well not do it again.
-
Crouch and hide with a shotty, or run at you with a shotty. What other playstyles are there? Shoot you with lunas 3 times? Press r2 with wardcliff and get free kills? Rivetting.
-
You realize that it was PvP that nearly killed the franchise as a whole? Just sayin’.
You realize that it was PvP that nearly killed the franchise as a whole? Just sayin’.
PvP, vis a vis Trials, is what really put Destiny on the map in the first place.
-
You gonna link me to the Forbes magazine you read that on? The PvE is incredibly boring after you’re done the milestones. If PvE was so incredible it wouldn’t need PvP. Prove me wrong.
-
It was stated by Bungie a long time ago back before Destiny even released. It should really be common knowledge at this point.
-
You’re telling me PvP almost killed a game before it was released? Link me to the source. 😂

Bearbeitet von HollowedWayfarer: 1/31/2019 8:27:30 PMI have two comments in here, DA. I thought you responded to the other one. Crucible being a final implementation that originally had no intentions of being a big deal is true. It was just there to draw in crowds from other games and conveniently grew in popularity. And yes, Crucible is the whole effing reason Destiny nearly died. Everything from the limited Subclass customization to static rolls to even a lack of armor perks was all because of PvP. The only people who even deny this are the people who pushed for these changes.
-
Now I know you read that on Forbes’ website 😂 Bye 👋
-
I didn’t read any of this crap on Forbes. Every one with a brain agrees that it was the heavy focus on Crucible that nearly killed the game and yes, Crucible was originally just a side activity meant to draw people in.
-
I have a brain and I don't agree. Vanilla D2 had horrible balance, even in Crucible, and John Weisnewski even admitted that many balancing decisions were made because he thought he alone knew what was best for players, despite their feedback. Additionally, there were NUMEROUS problems with D2 vanilla that had absolutely zero to do with Crucible. PvP is just a convenient scapegoat for a plethora of bad design decisions. It pigeonholes them all in a nice little package that can be easily identified as the bad guy, so that you have something to point at and yell "get rid of it!" The reality is much more complicated, but I realize you probably don't do "complicated."
-
The vast majority of the player base doesn't play it. The game would be better off without it.
-
200K more people in PvE than crucible that’s not the “vast” majority. Try again.
-
It is when there are only 300k people playing the game. Lol
-
You say that just cuz you suck lmao

Bearbeitet von DeathPony07: 1/31/2019 7:14:30 PM
You say that just cuz you suck lmao
Here's the teenage twink with the "git gud" stupidity.
-
Is genuinely saying 'Get good' stupid tho? Everyone can get good, you just gotta put the effort in lmao
-
Yeah, it really is. Because, "getting good" is subjective and it doesn't solve anything for people who are already doing the best they can and still not able to do quests.
-
so lets resort to crying?
