Hey you troubleshooter-buddies.....
There's often stated, that using a 60hz-frequency on a 144hz monitor would fix the stuttering-issue.
But for me that didn't really work either - meaning there is absolutely NO solution to the problem.
Please leave some comments, so we can definitively check this ! :)
P.S.: I even tried out my old monitor, which is native 60hz and NOT even capable of using 144hz.
=> Stuttering was there.
Thank you for reading - and if you answer - Thanx even more !

For me, it resolved the stuttering. I'm not really sure why it is. At the same time, the only place I changed the refresh rate was through the NVidia control panel. The game runs pretty much perfectly now, lol. I'm not really sure why it is that some people have this issue and aren't able to resolve it while others can.

Bearbeitet von Fluidz: 2/3/2019 7:18:22 PMGreat question. I did an A/B test and here are my results : Config and settings used : i7 4770k @ 4.2ghz 16gb ddr3 ram @ 1888mhz (stock profile) Nvidia 1080ti, driver 416.94 Windows 10 1809 (with all the latest updates) Monitor - Acer xb271hu 144hz with Gsync enabled Destiny 2 set to max settings, scaling 100%. Testing 144hz : I first set the desktop to 144hz, fired up Destiny and played on Earth attending public events and fast travelling around the planet. At first it was smooth as butter, approx 20 minutes in the game was now stuttering to a point where it was noticeable. I spent some time panning left and right and looking at walls and ground textures to get a glimpse of how bad stuttering was, it was easy to see the game was choppy by focusing on the edges of objects and seeing them hiccup as i moved sideways. The framerate felt like it was bouncing back and forth between 40 - 80fps, yet was averaging 80 - 100. Testing 60hz : I alt tabbed out of the game (leaving the game open) switched the desktop from 144hz to 60hz, alt tabbed back in. Surprisingly after a couple of seconds (given enough time for the game to adjust to the new refresh rate) panning left and right motion was smooth and majority of the stuttering was gone. Framerate was showing a constant 60fps and felt like 60fps. If felt playable again. Now it was smooth at 60hz I wanted to revert back to the default refresh rate to see if the stuttering had cleared up, so I alt tabbed out of the game and reverted back to 144hz, the horrendous stuttering was back. Framerate was averaging 80fps but up and down like a yoyo. I found by switching the refresh rate back and forth between 144hz and 60hz (by alt tabbing and not closing the game) resting the refresh rate at 144hz was a quick way to reproduce stuttering. Just to be sure it wasn't a one off I must of switched the refresh rate back and forth at least ten times, 144hz was definitely much worst than 60hz - given enough time spent on a planet. To summarize the differences 144hz is like walking on chopped glass, 60hz felt like I was sliding on ice. Below is a link to a video I captured with my phone. Focus on the outlines of the arrow on the streetsign and edges of the tree when I am strafing, notice the smooth motion at 60hz (with the occasional judder) vs the constant choppy motion at 144hz? The framerate is visible at the top right of the video (the large yellow number is the monitors readout). I think the video captured the difference quite well. Why 60FPS feels so sluggish in this game? In other games it feels very smooth. I have 144hz Gsync monitor.
