I think we’ve reached the point in Black Armory where we can skip the “get 15 multikills and 20 radiant seeds” steps for weapon frames.
It’s not like it’s an adventure to do so - you run Core Terminus twice, or kill the dudes on the Leviathans deck a few times.
I’ve done 80 weapon frames — I’m sure other people have done more — and I think after, say, 20 we all get the picture.
Anyone else agree, or am I just an entitled millennial* participation trophy whiner who wants everything handed to them?
* I’m not a millennial actually - I’m Gen X - but nobody uses millennial accurately anyway.

Further to my last post - to those of you I see that posted they've done 20 or 30 forge attempts to get the weapon they want - you Guardians need an effing statue erected in your honour. This is worse than the Gambit grind for Breakneck. You are better people than I am.
-
Holy Christ I tried grinding a bit today. It's horrible. Do the bounties get the frame blah blah blah multikills power kills back and forth go to Ada then all the bullshit go to the forge wait forever to load in do the stupid repetitive waves pray you get something good get a shitty legendary roll and then smash the controller trying to get to orbit Jesus I think I'm blind

Bearbeitet von kellygreen45: 1/18/2019 3:27:14 PMNo. Why would you want loot that you have no investment in?? It would also break the shard economy.

Information for guardians to know when needing radiant seeds. If you do 2 heroic public events your done. The heroic public event bosses drop 12-15 radiant seeds per run. I have realized for what ever reason not a lot of people know this. Good luck farming :)
-
I wish you could put weapons you have in the forge Complete the forge, it gets re-rolled. Fail the forge, weapon gets destroyed Then you can stay in the forge as long as you want re-rolling weapons and what not.
-
I don't think they should remove the actual steps but they need to at least remove the 'Return to Ada' part. That is the only real issue I have with any of the forge frame weapons because it just seems so unnecessary.

Bearbeitet von Fishyb: 1/18/2019 1:28:55 PMNo. Because bungie needs to pad play time numbers so there has to be pointless time wasting like this.

May I propose more return visits to ada-1? Cuz who doesn't love that part?

honestly I don't mind doing the multi kills and radiant seeds it only takes around 30 minutes to do a frame just kill a bunch of ads and then find a public event such as the cabal drill on io kill the heroic boss and hunt down a second yellow bar to get the seeds
-
But what else would I do with the extra forges I have to run to get modulus reports?

Those steps when we first got them were to calibrate it to our guardians. Don't see why they need that data every time they make the damn gun,
-
I get where you’re coming from. We’ve been asking Bungie for a while now to be able to refill weapons and this seems to be their compromise. I’m thankful we have this option so I don’t complain too much. Honestly I don’t mind the kills/radiant shards whatever part. It’s the constant return to Ada-1 that’s annoying. I really wish they’d get rid of that and allows us to just use the app to buy bounties and frames and the like.

totally with you on this, its just a waste of time ! its just a even fun, just give me that frame god dam it.
It’s not like it’s an adventure to do so - you run Core Terminus twice, or kill the dudes on the Leviathans deck a few times.
i'll save you even more time; go to mars, run the hive lost sector. Literally run past the adds straight to boss - it drops 10; fast travel or loop around (if you kill all the adds) repeat. Takes less than 5 minutes

Can we just have a little frame vending machine by the forge entrance? And a radient seed converter.

Bearbeitet von Dark Tlaloc: 1/17/2019 4:24:41 PMI forget this every time, and then get irritated when I realize I have to grind enemies. The worst for me is the heavy frames (machine gun); you have to kill 25 powerful enemies, and with heavy ammo that's pretty annoying. Either way, it's grind that I'm not into. I'd rather complete a forge twice for one frame than go through that portion of the "questline." (agreed on "millennial" too)
-
I'm cool doing it for the 2 powerful frames per character but once completed the frame shouldn't need to be charged or whatever you want to call it just let me go forge.
-
Tes, it's seems stupid. But I found a way to hadle it. I but frame from Ada and go to do my Dreaming City stuff, Gambit or Nightfall. And in the end of this activities you'll probably reach the final step (go to Ada, hahaha). I did 3 frames last week, while farming strikes for Izanami Burden quest.
-
Yes please. Even let us pay some sort of materials to charge the frame at Ada and skip those incredibly boring, repetitive parts of kills and seeds. It’s why I do my two powerful frames and then skip forges for the rest of the week.
-
Yes i agree
-
Sorry, there isn't enough content to remove those steps.
-
Got to stretch out the grind somehow...
-
I've done only about 6 frames and I agree with you 100%. It is so off putting as a grind for the possibility of a moderately good weapon that I cannot get my self to do it. I mean I wouldn't mind a God role weapon from the forge but the reward isn't really worth the effort.
-
I disagree, while I 100% think that the return trip to Ada-1 after calibrating the frame is unnecesarry and should be ditched, at least after youve crafted the specific frame once, the 20 multikills for a pulse is fine, it takes like a minute. Then you go forge it. I don't think youre entitled, your opinion is as valid as everyone elses, but I do think we need to draw the line somewhere. First we dont wanna go back to Ada every time, then we dont wanna do the small quest it gives us, then we dont even wanna do the first 2 waves of the forge since killing the boss is all we need. Like, there comes a point where designers just have to be able to design somthing, and it simply cant appeal to everyone. Imagine if youre making the next raid and then you have to listen to everyones feedback "oh i dont want a big map it takes too long to run everywhere" ... "oh but i wanna use my sparrow for the entire thing"... "oh and no mechanics only bosses because this is supposed to be a shooty game"..."but also no bullet sponges because thats boring" ...."also all the rewards should be at max light because I hate leveling up"..... "and dont forget to make the exotic a guranteed drop on my first run because I can only play the game for 1 hour a wek" ..."also make it powerful because exotics are so underwhelming" ...."wtf i said powerful not op". At the end of the day, a guy is sitting a desk and has to make somthing, its gonna get criticism anyways, so they may as well make it and then if you like it, great, if not, unfortunate. Unless its an objective cricitism a wide majority agree with, youre just gonna have to deal with it. (and I dont mean 100 upvotes).
