Greetings fellow Guardians. Know there is always a lot of misunderstanding and debate within the community on exactly what goes on within Destiny 2's PvP matchmaking, so I decided to do a video on the subject. This isn't actually the video I set out to make and I will still be doing that in the next day or two, but I felt it was important to establish the basic tenets and framework for the system itself. Hope this helps everyone have a little better understanding. Thank you.

All I know is at guardian level zero in comp I’ve been playing against full stacks running Luna’s and Not Forgotten. Broken matchmaking.

4 AntwortenExcellent video, and while you’re not really providing any kind of hard evidence, I do believe that this is an accurate portrayal of how MM works at a base level. However, and call me crazy, but I believe that there are elements at play, behind the scenes that manipulate match outcomes. Everything from obviously tilted team compositions that lead to snow ball defeats, and other more insidious elements such as lag compensation that flips mid match(this was called damage referee in D1), There is something inherently wrong with the way that Destiny plays in multiplayer. If you spend any extended time, with any other multiplayer, that is not published by activation and you will see what I’m talking about. After this much time with Destiny, I am convinced that there are catch-up mechanics and handicaps, that only players with extreme amounts of gametime can overcome. For the rest of us, with all the time that WE can spend on the game, most of us never see any growth, same 50/50 win ratio that everyone else has. The only real way to enjoy the crucible for someone like myself, who thrives on mastery in all elements of life whether it is work, art, or music, is to view it as the sideshow that it is... Enjoy it when I am set up for a predetermined smashing Laugh it off when the cards are stacked against me. Laugh even more at anomalies such as players not taking damage or warping around all crazy. Get my milestones completed, and get the -blam!- out. This is coming from someone who would otherwise love the crucible, and who gave it years of my life. Can’t say I didn’t try.

2 AntwortenI never knew the extent of how much lag and damage referee affect the matches until my clan played a private match. We are from all over the country and shotguns and grenade launchers one shotted consistently. Hand cannon shots landed consistently. No rubber banding. Combine that with the trash talking n it was the most fun I've had in destiny EVER. We had stuff to grind for n still played for 3 hours. Bring back area chat so if u die or get a kill u can hear get other person! And kill the damage referee.

1 Antwortengood video. Thanks! With region and system (pc, console) you can only ever be matchmade with a subset of a subset of players.
