The Dawning Sparrow
Really hope someone from Bungie takes the time to read and address this post. It's a pretty insignificant "non" issue. Rather a simple request.
It's good that Bungie gave us the new Sparrow to chase and upgrade with the Dawning event. It's a novel item to grind out for with really unique asthetics and perks too. So thanks first and foremost.
Having a Sparrow that...err...."poops" out glimmer is kinda fun. I've upgraded mine and seen just how much glimmer is generated when you activate your boost.....and it's very very minimal (not complaining about that). I cannot imagine that perk would be abused if it continued beyond the Dawning event. I highly doubt players would stand behind someone's sparrow while it periodically f@rts out glimmer. Killing trash mobs generates glimmer WAY WAY faster and Bungie...you should know by now....gamers will always choose the path of least resistance and quickest route to a goal. The glimmer perk on that sparrow is hardly game breaking so can you keep it as a PERMINANT PERK?
Yes I know this is trivial and many player really couldn't care either way but I thought I'd ask anyway.

(Edit: Thanks to people who've replied below. Yes the sparrow doesn't have a side strafe and it is something Bungie is aware of. Hoping they will add/fix it soon.)

4 AntwortenThe "biker" sparrows that have different mounting animations are awful. I swear it takes an extra 20 minutes to get on the damn thing as opposed to a regular sparrow. Also why are all sparrows the same? All 160 speed. All same toughness Can we get something new?

They should have just gave it a perk like the Rainmaker consumable except every 3 successful tricks it activates or something. Speaking of Rainmaker I've used so many of them and been right up in making out distance of the enemy a d had only seen it shower glimmer 1 time and that was when I quit paying attention and was at a longer range instead of close.

3 Antworteni have the entire sparrow upgraded. i feel like i wasted my time. the sparrow drains boost when holding the boost button. all the other sparrows simply get a chunk taken out of the boost when boosting. the dawning sparrow has no lateral movement. i don't know if this is a bug or an intentional design but just because of that, i deleted it. also, when you do tricks, it generates 5 pairs of glimmer squares which is around ten or so glimmer. these perks aren't game breaking and should be kept forever. why make us grind out the perks only to take them away from us? bungie is filled with idiots.

It is kind of underwhelming considering it is for a limited time. Looks interesting but that is all.

And that is assuming you had the masterworked oven at the start which we didnt, so its actually more than that. I am currently at 95 cookies baked and let me tell u if i didnt play this game with my girlfriend for fun at this point i would be so bored grinding this alone or with sweat friends. Oh, im also locked out of some stupid hidden triumph apparently because i wasnt stupid and reckless enough to waste materials and ingredients cooking things that dont match. I dont cheat by watching youtube videos or googling things when i am stuck in destiny so i had ZERO way of knowing that i would lock myself out of this "hidden" triumph by playing the game properly. What a great way to reward your players. The combinations i tried never gave me burnt edge transits, just cookies. Then i was given the option to masterwork it for no cost so obviously i did. Wtf? Im gonna have to see if i can dismantle one of my ovens or some stupid workaround shit like that. Pretty stupid. Bungie very confusingly addressd it in TWAB and did not clarify what the -blam!- they are doing about it.

9 AntwortenIve been low on glimmer since BA dropped, it would be nice if we could farm glimmer with the sparrow but it only drops 1 glimmer per charge.

The sound it makes when it drops presents is terribly annoying and it doesn't have the side boost thrusters which is a huge turn off.

I'll go along with that. As long as the glimmer boost is minimal, no reason not to keep the perk in effect.

It really needs to stay as it is after all that effort put into upgrading . It drops 1 glimmer max 10 Before they disappear There’s absolutely no reason for it not be be active after the dawning ends .

My wife pointed out the sound it makes on glimmer spawn and suddenly it got annoying.

2 AntwortenIt should definitely be permanent. Without the extra perks, it's literally no better than any other exotic sparrow.

It's kinda underwhelming performance wise tbh. You can't even dodge left and right with it! Not to mention that the boost is finite. And all for like 2 glimmer per second. Will the boost be infinite when the dawning ends and there's no glimmer to "farm"? It's missing a function that every other sparrow has (to my knowledge) and has an objectively worse boost than every other sparrow. It's a little disappointing tbh.
