Ok, so I know it’s only day 1, but so far, the Dawning seems really good. Eva Levante has finally returned, which is something I like. She may not be replacing [b][u]Tess, Stalker of Fenchurch[/u][/b], nor giving out cool shaders, but she still serves a major purpose, even if it’s only a limited time. She even gives powerful gear. Demon Prince Rahool is making himself useful without punching us in the crotch with RNG by giving you your materials back if you make a mistake in baking. (BTW, love the Burnt Edge Transits that we’re added in.) Speaking of baking, I like how it was designed. The materials are not too hard to get and at the same time, they aren’t just handed to you instantly, unless you buy them from Eva directly with essence. You have to work for them, but not to the point where you’ll go insane. And, if you haven’t read a certain post around these parts, figuring out the recipes can be fun for some people. (BTW, the way Essence is collected is good too. 5 per public event is a good choice.) [b][u]Tess, Stalker of Fenchurch[/u][/b] does not have a big role like last year, other than giving random ingredients that you shouldn’t spend your dust on and new multiplayer emotes that I hope to see more of in the future. I haven’t gotten the Sparrow yet, but from what I’ve heard, it seems like a useful way to stock up on glimmer if you have spent too much on infusion and Spider materials. My only gripe so far is that SRL hasn’t come back yet, but I have hope for the spring event or the Solstice. Also, [b]YOU GAVE THE OPTION TO GIVE LOUIS A PRESENT, BUT NOT THE COLONEL?! WHAT MADE YOU THINK THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?![/b] Anyway, I’ll be playing more tomorrow and see what else is here, but so far, I like what I’m experiencing. Edit: Gripe #2. No snowballs in Patrol Zones and strikes?! But why? Bungie, once you have the opportunity, please add some snowballs mid-Dawning. It would make it complete! Edit 2: Glad that the TP Armor is working to some degree.
