What a mess. Where to start. Recommended light level, yeah right. Who ever play tested this should be brutally tortured. Balls bouncing off the forge, spawn trapping when you die, boss glitching and using abilities without cool downs, running out of ammo in the middle of just about every round, collision detection with any f-ing thing in said arena, accuracy of you vs. mob. I think i forgot a couple of other things oh wait the nome existant reward for wasting my f-ing time failing( a blue and some planet materials. Really bungie, shame on you.

The balls are supposed to fall off. Your supposed to throw them in between the pylons

You make then sound hard, the first one is easy after 610! Glitchy sometimes but pretty easy to beat. Took me a few hours of leveling and was done.

A lot of those sound like a you problem.

I feel you, but it gets better when you start clearing it. I was really frustrated until today. Finally cleared it and now I've done it 4 times I think to get bounties and different weapons. Sometimes you get bad randoms in matchmaking, but just try to save your heavy ammo for the boss round.. that way if your randoms are not good enough you can stay in for another try without leaving to get heavy. My advice. The guy below said you are a 612 warlock? I cleared on my warlock at 611 with two other randoms around my same level. What I do is just kill yellows and throw balls. I use ep shotgun for round one, and shift between that and LMG round 2. I am sparing of my heavy in round 2. It shouldn't take more than one clip. In the boss fight I take out drones with primary, then Chaos Reach with the boots as soon as shield is down. Then I empty my LMG into him as quickly as possible (headshots) and then finish with Go Figure. Don't even try to shotgun the boss... you won't even get close enough to use it at 611. Anyway, I understand the rage you're feeling but it does get better once you get that first clear. Now I have the LMG, the Auto, and the Sniper(sniper was a random forge drop.) I also got a hand cannon, but dismantled it(bad roll) for the schematic and got a black armory mod called dragonfly spec which increases damage and radius of dragonfly. Also, if you do two weapon quests in a week you get a piece of powerful armor. I don't have that yet but hopefully it's Black Armory specific stuff like what Ada wears.

Are you going in alone or with a preformed group? Cuz even at 610, my clanmates and I were breezing through Volundr Forge. Play like normal, in other words, run around like spaz monkeys killing anything that has a blue hue for the first 2 rounds and then dip to the cliff on last phase. Have 1 guy bait the boss into the opening of the arch, take down shield and Whisper away. Gofannon forge is a little harder, but that's because unlike Volundr, there aren't any obviously superior places to sit where you aren't subject to Vandals. However, it is still very much doable.

Why aren’t you using well of radiance? Your a 612 warlock.

So you’re crying because you don’t get a good participation award?

I would like to add to this list. 1. NOT telling the community that in the second round, the Forges only take hit detection in SPECIFIC -blam!-ING locations. 2. Square Button intermittently picking up batteries. 3. Heroic accuracy of the mobs. 4. Mob side-stepping making you miss an ENTIRE -blam!-ING clip. 5. Matchaking for this might as well be sitting on a giant log being shoved up your behind. I want to declare a Fatwa on Bungie for this -blam!-ing piece of shit, and I WAS a defender of their game!

Also no fast travel point, how dumb.

The first forge is pretty easy.. The only complaints i have are the weird hit detection on the forge and hiw delayed it can be when you pick a ball up. But the first one i listed i don't even have an issue with, my friend just misses quite often lol.
