Please someone give me the probability of how many tries will it take me to get that damn Exotic. I know its 2/22 but since I have 29 clears so far wouldn't I have gotten it already?
-
Now this might not seem very probable but I’ve only done the last wish once ever. It was a teaching run I did just now and I got 2 1K voices!! What I’m doing now is looking around the internet to see if I’m the only one this has happened to. I was under the impression that there was only 1 of them in one of the chests but I guess I was wrong. If anyone knows the numbers on this let me know.
-
32 chests. Got it on 23rd 24th and 25th
-
I’ve had 5. 26 LW clears.
-
Not how probability works.
-
I have everything finished for rivensbane all I need is 1k voices. It’s unfair I thought by the time I finished every raid triumph I would be able to have it.It’s BS that I see noobs every week that get it first or second run.
-
It is literally rng. Just open a chest and get lucky. There is no special chest.
-
It is RNG. There is no 2/22 chests that hold it. It is hard coded to a specific key's line of code....if you get that key you will 100% get 1000 voices. So us unlucky people will just have to farm it forever and ever while the people with 3 completions keep getting it. 28 completions here.. No glittering key. No 1000 voices.
-
Did you know, fractions can be simplified so the proper chance would be 1/11
-
Why haven't I gotten it?!? I haven't even played the raid! Wtf Bungie. #Satire.
-
Don’t know, got it on my second completion 🤷🏼♂️
-
The probability is 1.0 when using the exploit. Use it and you will have the weapon soon.
-
On my 23 chest o boi
-
Got it on my 23rd clear
-
Got it on my 31st key, 30th clear.
-
Why did they not make it a quest exotic like Acrius or Outbreak Prime? They could have made a super cool secret puzzle in the raid. They could have made one of the wishes take you to a secret raid encounter, and when you complete it, you get the quest. Then the quest could require you to kill all bosses in Last Wish. Maybe a cool story mission at the end. Would be way better than the RNG drop garbage.
And to anyone who says "Vex Mythoclast was an RNG drop and nobody whined about it", that was before Bungie made the really interesting quests for Touch of Malice and Outbreak Prime. They could have done so much with Last Wish. I can't help but feel like they missed a huge opportunity for another really cool exotic quest like Whisper of the Worm.
-
Got it my 7th full run
-
You gotta get really shitty destiny rewards shit players with the best weapons so they don’t leave.
-
40 clears and still nothing, this is getting beyond boring and frustrating
-
Because you have about that chance for every run. Back in D1 when I got the mythoclast from vog it wasn't until ttk.
-
Got it my 5th official run. I ran riven over 10 times.
-
Probability is very high, Ive gotten 3. You’re just unlucky boiiiiii
-
Be sure to use a fire team medallion. When ever you play d2

Bearbeitet von MONKEYGOTRABIES: 12/9/2018 2:53:30 PMA probability is just a guideline, like an average. If you roll a ten sided die there is a 10% probability of rolling any number. Let's say you need to roll a 7 so there's a 10% chance for that. You roll an 8 and try again. The thing is you still have a 10% chance. Your previous roll has no bearing on the next and might as well have never happened. Believing your odds get better as you go is known as "the gambler's fallacy." You will always have a 10% chance as each roll is a new instance. You might get lucky and roll your 7 on the third try, and you might be unlucky and roll it on the 300th. Although it is unlikely, you might never roll it as long as you keep trying. Knowing the probability for 1K Voices means next to nothinng as it all comes down to luck. I never received a Gjallarhorn as a reward in D1. That was highly improbable for two years of almost daily play, but nonetheless it was the reality.

That’s not how probability works.

Got it on my 23rd clear. I think the chests on the top of the stairs have a higher chance, that’s where me and my friends got ours
