I’m in Massachusetts and on a PS4 using Comcast. Starting on Thursday evening, I began to experience what I’m calling the Comedy of Errors. Please note that I’ve only received the occasional error from Destiny 2 prior to this. Yesterday, I decided to log the errors that I’ve been receiving. Here’s what I experienced:

I tried playing with my usual fire team on the other side of the country. Usually it’s not a problem or there are only a couple of minor issues, but I had latency of up to two and a half minutes when traveling to in-game destinations where I could run halfway through a strike before encountering any enemies (they told me that I was running off cliffs and through walls).
I haven’t tried Gambit since I received my first ever suspension on Thursday night.
I’ve had no problems with PSN chat or other AAA titles on my machine.
Right now the only thing I can reliably do in-game is kick the balls in the courtyard of the tower...assuming I can even get to the tower.

@MCDP_Refugee .... I have had pretty much the same experience, but on Xbox. It's not anything you are, or are not doing. Let's just hope that Bungie has someone smarter than the nerds at the Apple store working to fix this.

Upgrade your modem to a 2016 or later model. AC something # Plug it in with an ethernet cord.

been having the same problem, game says it's my internet, i also have Comcast and am in mass., but i check my internet, reset it even, same problem, i go to literally any game other than destiny, no problem connecting, i wanna play siege? no problem, i find a game within a few seconds of starting the search, and have a constant 9-20 ping, i wanna play destiny? assuming i can actually sign in to select a character, i either manage to go to the tower or a planet, and every 5 minutes get a "contacting destiny servers" or i don't get to leave orbit and get an error. I've seen one reply from bungie, guess what it was... "we're looking into it". that was 3 days ago.

And it is continuing today. I cannot complete many activities at all. Right now this game is a waste of space on my PS4 HDD.
