If you played D1 it's the same way you would queue for the gauntlet in the Siva xpac. Basically from the first set of stairs you crouch walk until you see the blind well icon appear on your screen. Because that whole area is basically a loading screen and rushing through it reduces the time the server has to connect you with a group and essentially puts you in your own area. If you crouch walk you give it more time to match you with others.
