Genesis on Kinetic weapons
This has popped up on reddit, forums, and I have personally experienced this with my own game. Genesis rolls on The Supremacy, the kinetic sniper rifle that drops from the Last Wish raid. I had it drop as well with Genesis, and tested it in the crucible. As things go with elemental shields and Genesis, breaking a shield with the elemental type should reload the weapon, this should also go for kinetic weapons on a non-elemental shield (i.e. Guardians shields). This is not so, as when I went into a private match with my clan mate to test things out, I shot him twice while I had a single round in reserves, and nothing reloaded once his shield broke. This tells me that either the roll itself is bugged and should not be dropping on the rifle at all, yet still is, or Genesis is not working as intended.

Borealis does the same thing to trigger its perk, you could find out if the perk just doesn’t register a normal guardian shield as a shield, or if it’s bugged on kinetic weapons in crucible. Edit: have you tested this weapon in regular PvE content as well? Genesis should refill your ammo when breaking any shield. Also, do elemental weapons with genesis (grenade launchers, rockets, energy sniper rifles, etc) work on guardian shields in the crucible?

1 AntwortenGenesis refills ammo from reserves when breaking any shield, it doesn't have to be of a matching element. The matching element only comes into play when using an energy weapon, as breaking a matching element shield will create ammo rather than draw from reserves. The problem you've had is that guardian shields do not count as shields with regards to perks, though when the guardian is in super it may, as only on guardians in super is it possible to procc the Ionic Return perk on Borealis. tl;dr, not a bug, go break any element shield in pve and it should refill from reserves just fine
