So we have already been shown one dungeon, which is the shattered throne.
But what if bungie took this idea and ran with it?
Imagine they made use of previous content that could have a better conclusion that is much better than what we got?
My examples are, panoptes, the vex boss at the end of COO which is in my opinion an amazing looking enemy, seems to be that someone took a lot of time out to make an actual NEW enemy. Imagine somehow panoptes survived by making a copy of itself and the dungeon is about going through the infinite forest to kill him. After all, there are INFINITE possibilities in the forest Hm?
Xol can be another one, we have an actual satisfactory end to xol or one of his minions? Xol shouldn’t have been killed off in a strike it’s such a cheap way to do things (especially reusing the fxxxing story mission. STORY MISSION.)
This could be a dungeon of going into the depths of mars ice caverns into hive territory to stop xol being reborn or something like that.
These dungeons should stay at 3 man fireteams, not everybody has a 6 man fire team ready all the time and these dungeons are an excellent way to give smaller teams a way to get end game rewards! It’ll be especially great for players who are solo and can’t find a huge team because they will most surely have atleast 2 people to play with.
What I’m trying to get at is the dungeon idea should be on the same level of challenge and difficulty as the raids, but obviously scaled to be for 3 people going through, there is so much opportunity here!
If anyone else has some ideas or suggestions about this then please say, I love the idea of this stuff. Maybe bungie will even take a little peak at this and be inspired?? Who knows.

Dungeons are the best thing in Destiny2 for me right now. The puzzles are not unsolveable like the ones in the raid, so you can hop in with two friends and actually explore the space on your own without studying youtuber playthroughts to complete it in one day. Raid Puzzles are too hard in comparison and therefor ruin the exploration, unless someone has 5 friends willing to play the game for 20h straight. Dungeons only require two more friends and have a timespan of 3h or so - which is absolutely perfect, in conclusion, they are what I have ever hoped for in Destiny2, they have the sense of mystery, puzzle solving, teamwork, theme and mood packed into an accessible format for not-so-hardcore-gamers + hardcore gamers can play them solo. So, yes, we need more dungeons please.

Dungeons should be able to:- [b][i]Accommodate & Match make :[/i][/b] 3 x Team = Legendary. (Drops Legendary Rewards + Glimmer + High Chance of Prime Engram) 6 x Team = Heroic. (Drops Legendary Rewards + Glimmer + Chance of Prime Engram, higher Chance of Exotics) (Powerful Gear) / Engram) 9 x Team = Master. (Drops Dungeon Specific Loot + Glimmer + Highest chance of Exotics + Masterwork Cores per HVT) (Powerful Gear / Engram) - Not have complicated / non combat orientated Mechanics. - Have a whole NEW story focused with NEW Enemies - per Faction / Race. (Each Race has a New Dungeon Master. each Level / Tier has a new Boss). - Have Boons you can apply that you purchase from XUR for specific buffs in the Dungeon. - Not have Bosses with Stupid Immune / Disappearing Phases throwing trash at you to absorb bullets. - Defeating all the Dungeon Masters will grant an Exotic Quest for an "unknown Exotic" - Unknown Exotic can be anything from the Dungeon Loot Pool (1 Armor Piece for each Class) (1 Auto Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Bow, Scout, Sniper Exotic)

Why is everybody so obsessed with “precious” content. My god. I want NEW content. I want NEW weapons. I want NEW armor. I want NEW exotics. I’m tired of seeing “OLD” shit in this game. If people like the old stuff, play destiny 1, it’s still there, people still play it. Your characters are still available. Out with old and in with the new. Every heard that saying??

See this is what is in your head that should happen, and this is what bungie will actually do. Bungie grunt: hmmmmmmm, people enjoyed the 3 man dungeon we made and would like more. Boss: you right they did, ok well cut the raids going forward and just make dungeons, there shorter and cheaper to produce.

Bungie could have referenced half a dozen games that make dungeons the right way but they didn’t so we got mediocre five minute mini-dungeons. Shattered throne is a good start but I want the maze-like architecture and chests everywhere. And please... no more Taken or ascendant realm garbage. You got it out of your system Bungie, how about now we get something with a little more color?

Id rather have dungeons replace lost sectors. Granted, that would require more development time, but more interesting than a mindless murder cave.

No to the infinite forest ever being used. That was the most pathetic excuse for content in gaming history. The $10 Iron banner emote was a better excuse for content than that shit.

I love the dungeon idea and it would be great to see more. I quite like how the Lost Sector on Mercury takes you under the lighthouse (it's one of the few things I do like about I Mercury) it could go deeper....

We should have a choice to choose the amount of players for Dungeons. The more the Stringer the enemies

They should start going through the lost sectors and updating them to dungeon status. Each lost sector should take 30 minutes. Each planet should have one per week where the light level is cranked up to 570/580 and drops powerful gear.

Loved Shattered Throne. I would absolutely love to see more Dungeons. Give us a variety, and keep em tied to the story somehow. It would be awesome to see Dungeons based on the Vex, Hive, or Cabal, while also tying them into where Forsaken has taken us.

Bungie would read this and twist and turn everything you suggested and make the activity unrecognizable and then tell you that is the way you are suppose to play. Seriously, this company can screw up a free lunch.

Dungeons good idea, however Super Mario brothers with snipers is not a dungeon.I did find it humerus you were fighting the architects though.
