You realize that Lord of Wolves is literally better in every way with Release the Wolves active, right? It goes from 5 to 10 rounds in a burst, which can net multiple kills due to how powerful it already is, and receives a damage buff. It's really, really good at melting bosses with RtW active. It's not even hard to do, just shoot a dreg or something else weak and you get 30 rounds in 3 bursts of extra damage shrapnel launcher goodness.
That and if you're complaining about it now, why the hell are you praising the worse version? It is functionally the same aside from a healing perk being replaced by even more damage.

You must miss the point here. The entire complaint is because they gave it release the wolves. I get a 120 total ammo. Insert math here and that can be maybe 20 trigger pulls most of the time before we dry up all ammo for it. I like the entire idea of the gun, it just doesn't have the ammo or utility for what it is. I'm here to voice how I feel the damage doesn't compensate the ammo capacity on the gun because it is a shotgun.

The ammo is a problem yes, but it's not a huge one. If they gave it, say, 500 reserves it would never run out. Ever. It'd be seriously hard to pass up at close range due to how much of a boss melter it already is being buffed into something unbeatable due to the ammo count. Sure, Release the Wolves is the ideal, but even normal usage is fine. It reloads as fast as an auto rifle. It would be too good with that much ammo.

No need for like a super ammo buff I just would like to have something equivalent to other shotguns. Not a 500 ammo count but like at least another 30 shots for it would easily change how long it's useful.
-
Annoyingly enough, Lord of Wolves actually IS equivalent to other shotguns. max base ammo is around 150, 30 mag 120 reserve. That equates to 30 shots or shells for any other shotgun.
-
True enough, but you probably can feel it just seems like you burn ammo faster with the LoW. (It's like I'm using merciless again but to a lower degree)
-
If there's no special around, yeah it burns ammo faster than any other gun. It shoots 5 times every time you pull the trigger, of course it's going to run out of ammo fast with such a low ammo count. If you've got shotgun scavenger and special ammo finder it's mitigated a bit, but it's still not great. And the ammo count I guestimated? 500? apparently that's still only 106 shots. Half that with Release the Wolves constantly active, which takes 5 rounds to activate, which means less than half, likely around 40 shots. I can't believe doing the math actually makes a 500 reserve Lord of Wolves look like a reasonable buff.

You get what I'm saying now right? And I can't force rng to give special scav or shotgun reserves, especially with my sniper set up slowly being made. But like, you're a cool mans, I'm just glad you can see how I feel about this gun.
