I believe it should be split into two different matchmaking for the different players. People who have Forsaken obviously can be way more powerful then people stuck in year 1. If you don't have Forsaken but have all the DLCs the max is 400 power which is still 100 power lower then most Forsaken players. That doesn't even mean the people without any DLC that are stuck at 300 power. If we split it into Forsaken and Year 1 matchmaking the people with DLCs will only be 30 to 80 more then people without any DLCs, but that is way better then people who have Forsaken and are 200 power more then sombody else without any DLC. There is enough population that you can split it into year 1 and Forsaken players. Please try this out or find some better way then having people without Forsaken go against people with it.

Buy the dlc or dont play Iron Banner simple as that. I believe it says recommended power 500. Its not meant for people below that. Why do people always cry about stuff like this. If you dont make the team dont cry to mommy lol.
-
It's made this way to force people into buying Forsaken. I dislike the level advantages in pvp, they make no sense imo. I want consistent damage, 29 to thehead is 29 to the head not 100 to a level 10 guardian.
-
Or they could've just not put in level advantages. Everybody wins
-
It wouldn’t be so much a problem if Bungie didn’t misleadingly advertise Iron Banner and its respective rewards to be open to all players, which while technically true, it fails to mention that whoever doesn’t buy the expansion will get shit on every match (usually losing it) and slowing down their progress and the progress of their teammates dramatically towards the new armor and weapon rewards.
-
You knew this would happen, bungie isn’t making special events for players that choose to stay behind
-
Light level is NOT decisive. You can still prevail! I love being an underdog and coming out on top. IB is not one of those sissy campus safe spaces. (Git gud scrub)
-
pvp with power advantages is pointless its more of a way to goad players that havent purchased the dlcs into purchasing or they wont be able to access the content or the experience they have will be very limitied basically telling them they will always lose unless they purchase the dlcs.
-
Pay up or shut up 🤐
-
Pay up or stfu. Be thankful your getting to play in at all. Events shouldn’t carry over to people who aren’t current in the game , PERIOD!
-
To be frank, they needn't seperate the populations, just disable LLA. I don't think I've ever experienced anything as genuinely awful as LLA IB.
-
Nope. If you can’t hang with the big dogs stay off the porch. IB is for Yr2 dogs. Yr1 pups should play Quickplay or suck it up and lvl up by purchasing Forsaken.
-
Let's just cut to the cheese... Bungo, fix your crux mm. Fix your level advantages garbage.
-
I think it’s perfectly fine the way it is. The game evolves and if someone doesn’t want to or can’t evolve with it then that’s just too bad. Bungie has no reason to cater to people who have ceased in purchasing more content.
-
Disagree
-
But....I'm a year 1 and Forsaken player....
-
Big facts, either separate matxhmkaing or non light advantages enabled, it simply isn't fair at all for vanilla playlists running a vanilla gamemode they paid for to be 2 shot by dlc owners. I have never seen a game where dlc owners got pvp advantages over non dlc owners... How is this not a form of pay to win?
-
Can we call the groups “poor people” and “normies”? 😂😂😂
-
Stuck in year 1 lmao. Good one
-
Bearbeitet von FatBabyDragon: 9/21/2018 3:40:35 PMIt was designed so the players who actually pay for the game can get more content. But if they do this year one playlists should only reward year one gear.
-
Why dont you get forsaken?
-
Not a bad idea but good luck with finding good matches with such a fragmented base. The connections will be terrible and there will be large skill discrepancies.
-
That actually makes logical sense, power should matter to people that are relevant. THE ONLY PEOPLE who asked for power advantage, are the people who wasted 40$ so they could fill their superiority complex and belittle people who didn't spend the tax of content
-
If you guys don’t like the game to keep buying the expansions, stop playing. Go play something else.
-
It was put in place so non Dlc buyers would be put at a disadvantage so they can buy the DLC.
-
Tons of fun to go In underlight. I'm after a full stack of 300s today! If you're Xbox hop in lazykitten23117
-
It clearly says recommended power is 500 so why would non dlc players even go into it and then come on the forums and cry about it! What. You want the dlc to be free? Lol get real
