With Iron Banner being this week, I thought this might be a good time to get my thoughts out there on the "(PvP) Level Advantages Enabled." I think this text is not true enough to even mention it. I was playing Iron Banner with a friend, and we both noticed this. When I was playing, I was up against a 505 player at 550. I noticed that he could kill me with 1 more shot than normal with a pulse rifle and 0 shots more with a hand cannon.
Why should someone who's basically only completed the story be able to kill me just as quick as normal?

Bearbeitet von Golden: 9/20/2018 12:22:30 AMYeah, I understand why people are complaining now. ITs kinda stupid, really favors those high leveled players. Yes, Ironbanner had light level advantages, never bothered me, but even if you are recommended light level (500ish), you're -blam!-ed. Legit getting dominated by garbage players, who take me down in like 1-2 shots while it takes me like 4-5
-
Then explain to me how i couldn't 1 hit a guy who was 30 lights higher than me with arc staff? He had no overshield or a super active
-
Level advantages shouldn’t even be a thing, period. It doesn’t belong in a pvp playlists.

Um...its not designed to make you unkillable pal. I was doing 91 to the head against a 500 with a 140 rpm handcannon. That's almost a 2 tap.
-
When I was playing at that difference I was doing something like 52 per crit with a 140 HC. I've had to stick with sniping and my Titan supers and melee can't one shot anyone at around...20-30 LL higher than me. Totally fine with that btw it's been interesting having to rely on and experiment with different setups

I'm fairly certain it's Actibungo's vagueness that has gotten you flustered. You gain a considerable amount of damage when against someone of lower level. Even more than D1 after they "remembered" to turn it on after it was discovered to be disabled. But other than that a lower level player appears to do they do regular damage. Under these circumstances the level-advantage is very clear at equal skill level. However if the higher level player is bad, already damaged, or outplayed... then the lower level is simply playing a regular crucible match from his perspective.

I was 360 definitely felt it doing about 1/3 standard damage and got one shotted by a charged Ace of Spades. Still 21 points and 2nd on leaderboard :D
-
Why is this frustrating people now? Have y'all not played d1? This is quite normal, y'all have just been spoiled over the past year.
-
I don’t think you know what level advantages make a big difference

These guys at 560 were tanking my shots and two bursting me at 543.

It’s always been like this. The fun part is when you need to swipe the target with your super 5 times when they only need to do it once. Honestly it just determines how effective your super is going to be compared to others from what I could tell. I have no problems with that.

Light level should mean something worthy... PvE, below recommended you see red swords on names, you can damage and eventually kill but it's tough... If you are 31 levels lower EVERYTHING 1 hits you, you want balance then do that! If I fight filthy 505 casuals my melee should 1 shot, my guns should one shot! I see how my statement could upset people in.advance but it's iron banner for a reason, go in at your own risk, get owned and get light up by persistence... As it stands i feel like I may as well fight everyone with a -blam!-in feather and hope I can tickle them to death.....

You realize its so that all of the asshats that refuse to buy the DLC can actually play, right?
