Yes, bring back the gun that sweats and try hards use to break the game. Then the hunters can hold the trigger down till the clip is empty, dodge and spam the clip down once again. Sounds so fun. The last word was a huge issue in D1 since that’s all you ever saw in trials. Guns that are overused does not = fun. I want new weapons that are fun to use, not weapons that ruin crucible. TLW + 1000 yard stare meta was HORRIBLE.

That’s good, but it was an annoying meta IMO since it was every where, iron banner, trials, even regular crucible. I prefer distinguished set ups than repeatedly challenging the same class with the same set ups every match I had to play.

Not sure how is it a skill gap. If that was the case why can’t people use crap guns? Then say I owned with a non top tier weapon. That’s skill. Using top tier weapons and say it’s “skill” is the equivalent of a person who spams on a fighting game saying they are doing combos.

Thorn was overused in HOW, even then TLW and Hawkmoon were strong as well, after thorn and hawkmoon got nerfed guess which gun stuck around even after nerfs? TLW.

Yeah it did get the hardest nerf, and it still outshoot lots of weapons at a close range. Which a lot of pvp maps are close range, that’s why that gun was so overused in trials. There was rarely a round were a hunter did not run with TLW with 1000K with short gaze + hidden hand.

Because it was a smart build. Wasn't hard to counter, as long as you could play well.

A smart build that the whole crucible was using. That’s what you guys are not seeing. If the whole crucible starts running the same crap. That’s when weapon diversity dies and 85% of the weapons are non usable cause no one has the orbs of light to use anything but such set ups. That’s why anything that breaks the game should not be created or brought back.

That's how the crucible is shaped. Tlw wasn't alone at the top, you had euros, thorn, lance, wing, mida, a bunch of pulses I forgot the names of. People abuse the meta, that's what you will always see. Tlw after the final nerf was used significantly less than pre-nerf. I know, I was there.. playing pvp 80% of my 4k d1 hours. Dont like it? Dont play multiplayer, because you will find the balance shifts in every single game you play now. There will always be a rotating meta from now on, that is modern multiplayer.

I’m just saying why TLW shouldn’t be brought back. It had its run on D1, why give it another shot? I will admit I used felwinters lie with shot package, but that don’t mean bring back felwinters or the perk shot package. Ice breaker was nice before it got nerfed. But I don’t want it back. It had its time and era, let it be. There is a reason why D1 can be still played why bring it back to D2? Let the old exotics. Bring new weapons. And for multiplayer. Yeah a lot of games either got watered down or each 3 months a new weapon meta arrives which either it can be super irritating or simply dull. But I stick by it. It’s not like I can’t adapt and counter the meta, it’s just ridiculous that player A is forced to run certain guns to counter Meta Player B. The only time I actually had fun was on competitive with no radar because you could have run the worst guns in the game without worrying about getting rekt. No radar was the best.

You could run around all game trying to melee kills. Feeling forced to change your gaming habits is a sign of dependency on feeling superior. Building teams with people who can effectively call locations, events, and other useful information is too much for pubbies, which is why they dumbed down COMP yet again......

Let’s say I decide to just melee all match long. I at most would have about 4-7 kills per round with an abysmal KD and cost my team winning the match (which certain items or complete certain quests you must win) we are also in a community were KD means everything, can’t play with certain people if your KD is horrible, last but not least no one has fun attempting to use a certain weapon if you can’t use it cause the other weapons people face outclasses it by a large margin. Therefore the term forced or no choice is used. So if people buy a game for 60+ with DLCs included which comes out to 90+ and can’t have fun and enjoy the game cause of unbalanced meta what’s the answer the community gives? If you don’t like it don’t play it. Well jeez I just bought a game for like 90 bucks I can’t get a refund. I buy games to invest time on them and play the hell out of it when I have the time to do so. But like I have said no one tends to see that.

IT doesn't There are no Leagues, there are only stat farmers. People good enough to actually compete, sitting around all day doing -blam!- all with themselves, padding stats vs a bunch of pubbies.... Destiny is a PUBLIC game, therefore anything goes. If you want to cost your team the game, again and again.. you CAN... With no draw back. You may get "rage mail", but hey WHO doesn't enjoy laughing at the anguish of others amirite?? At the end of the day, you are playing a game to entertain yourself. The only people you should give a shit about is technically your clan... but the way most of these clans are ran( LFG 2.0), nobody really gives a shit about clan mates either. SO DO what you want. IF YOU FEEL FORCED into doing something. STOP PLAYING. It is that simple. STOP PLAYING. Why? Because you are not playing for enjoyment anymore, you are playing for something bad. You are playing because you feel you NEED to play, you NEED to perform, and you NEED to use guns to appease your fellow player(or yourself). You don't have to do anything, because "need to" is different than "have to". Until you distinguish the difference between that in gaming, you will always feel compelled to conform. This is coming from somebody, who competed in games for 12 years...and Have been through the ringer time, and time again. It is an experienced voice. I'm not trying to attack you, just trying to help.

No I get that, I by no means am frustrated or hate the game at all. I have played competitive for a few here and there just voicing my opinion to why TLW shouldn’t be brought back and why certain metas suck. Once I knew I couldn’t handle the crucible I simply walked off and did my own thing. The game is fun when new weapons are introduced. That’s simply my argument. If I want to use ice breaker, vex mytholcast, or necrochasm I simply pop into D1 and play there. No need to bring it back to D2. But anyways it’s been nice chatting but I got a bounty to complete which is time consuming.

TLW got nerfed to shit in ttk Hawkmoon was more popular cuz it was the only HC withiut bloom until December 2015 Thorn fell off cuz it wasnt a y2 weapon TLW would be perfectly balanced in this meta
