Same issue. Sometimes takes a little while longer, sometimes happens within minutes of restarting game. Sounds about right that public events or something like that trigger it, though it's hard to be certain when exactly it starts because the issue is not detectable by observing your numerical frame rate and starts off small. Things just start stuttering, a little at first, more as time goes by. When it gets bad it's certainly not comparably to what I'd call "microstuttering", it's game ruining. Restarting the game always fixes the problem, so it's obviously some sort of a memory leak or similar issue. 6700k 16 gig DDR4 1080Ti Asus STRIX Game and OS on Samsung 960 NVME drive Win10 64bit, latest major version 1440p/144hz / Ultra settings / Gsync I've tried: -Changing all the graphics settings when issue occurs - does not fix. Nor does having lower settings prevent the issue from appearing. -Vsync on/off, no help. -Locking framerate to various values, both with ingame limiter and external tools. -Checked temps, all is good. -Removed all extra USB input devices such as gamepad and wheel. -Killed all extra services and programs in Windows before starting game -Updated all possible drivers for the GPU, motherboard etc. Updated BIOS. -Checked that other performance hungry games still behave correctly - they do. -Disabled other monitor before starting the game to make sure it was not a dual display issue. -Used a different sound card. I guess there's little point after that list in saying how annoying the issue is. All out of ideas and hoping for a fix soon. Thanks.
