I recently switched from playing on Xbox 1 to pc (largely in anticipation for Forsaken). Until recently, I have largely focused on leveling up my new characters and having a fantastic time. But know, I have spent several weeks trying to get The Whisper of The Worm. After solving the jumping puzzles, I finally made it to the part filled with enemies. Despite my best efforts I could not fight my way through alone. Since then, I have tried doing the mission with my only Blizzard friend, but he could barely make it to the green room. I have spent the entire day today attempting to form a fireteam with random people to beat the mission using the fireteam matchmaking tool in the companion app and trying to navigate the social system on Battle.net and failing (even when trying to friend people). [u]So, I am confused why there is no in game system to message and invite people to fireteams that does not require friending them or being in a clan with them? For as heavily a multiplayer game as Destiny 2 is, it seems ridiculous to have to jump through so many hoops to form a group for one mission, nightfall or raid[/u]. P.S. Sorry for the long post but I felt that explaining the problem I have been having is better than just complaining.
