  • I'm not gonna cry... I'm just so disappointed. Can't we get rid of handcannons all together? Can't tolerate that shit 1 minute more. I'm even happy to pay extra for a version of the game without it

  • No we can not get rid of hand cannons. Hell hand cannons was for so many people the favorite weapon type. I know I was loving my fatebringer in year 1. Hawkmoon, the devil you know, and lord high fixer. I used other weapons as well, but nothing felt better to me than the hand cannons. So much fun. Then year two, and ttk expansion, and they completely neutered them. Half your shots were ghostbullets, and you spent more time seeking ammo for them than actually killing enemies. Year 3 saw them improve, but nowhere near year 1 standards. Sure there was a few good hand cannons, but if they didn't have rangefinder, and rifle barrel, they were trash. Year three was not the peak of hand cannons. D2 hand cannons too weak, you can use some in pve, but in pvp, they don't compete. Hopefully this means that they will finally be able to do just that. Bungie needs to improve all aspects of the game, and it looks like they are trying. That means they should improve all the weapons, not all of them but the one group you for some odd reason hold a grudge against.

  • You see you actually mentioned the exact problem, it's not the weapons itself but the right perks that made it a godroll. The reason why I am [b]SO AGAINST[/b] handcannons like those of D1 Y3 is because [b]everyone[/b] had a bloody godroll. The vendor having so often rangefinder and people with luck in the chamber...I had never encountered a Palindrome or Eyasluna that wasn't a godroll. If they give godroll handcannons to everyone, then all the other weapons are at disadvantage and this is what [b]unbalanced[/b] PvP terribly in D1 granting a huge advantage to handcannons only. This is [b][u]wrong[/u][/b]

  • Of course you never saw a palindrome, or an eyasluna without rangefinder, and rifled barrel. Because if you got one of those without those perks, they were garbage, and you dismantled them. Why? Because the hand cannons were not good enough at base level. You had to maximize the range to make up for the ridiculous bloom mechanic. It's why weapons such as the whale couldn't compete, It was in the right arch type, but didn't have the perks available to maximize range. Because you had to have those range perks, other perks that might of been good in year one was wasted since range was so important to have. Not to mention there was just too many garbage perks anyway. They should have made the weapons at base good, and the perks could have been in place to enhance a playstyle. A god roll for me, would not have been a god roll for yourself for example. However because of bloom, you needed range, range, and more range. If you made this so rare few people could have obtained it in the whole year you are talking about, that would not have been good, that would have been horrible, frustrating, and a big pile of BS.

  • Wel as it actually happened, granting all that power to everyone [b]did[/b] turn out horrible and frustrating for players like me who simply did not want to choose a handcannon 100% of the time. I have choice now, I am NOT forced to go graviton and in fact the proof is that I [b]don't[/b] use it, my friends don't go Graviton either. In D1 year 3 you [b]had to[/b] use a handcannon in PvP or it would have just been a lost cause. That was [b]no choice[/b].

  • [b]Of course[/b] it was [u]no choice at all[/u]. I actually and I'd say *finally* [b]enjoy pvp now in D2[/b]. Feel free to look up my stats. I play since D1 Y1, have also been flawless in D1 & D2. I have played and still play Destiny a lot (daily)

  • destiny 2 is a huge step back for most players. It's why Bungie is making these changes. 3 tap hand cannons, a good start for these changes. I also believe most people will agree with that.

  • No way. The actual truth is that they are changing because of all the nostalgic D1 whiners who cannot play as a team and regret the time when they could just kill 6 guardians alone with their overpowered handcannons and abilities/granades. D2 [b]is better[/b] I uninstalled D1 and I'm very happy where I am but since nostalgic complainers make a big fuss they will have to revert it back. Such a shame that ignorant people are driving in the wrong direction a product with so much potential

  • I don't think so...and you're very superficially ignoring the people that will stop playing crucible or playing much less crucible than before. So yeah you'll probably find yourself with all the nostalgic whiners from D1 Y3 have fun.
