I made a post like this one a long time ago and it got somewhere close to 3,000 replies. So I figured as the years have gone by, why not make it again with all these new B.net users.
The years provided are what I'd like to see involving what older games you'd like to see remastered. My personal choice would have to be Republic Commando.

Black and White, for the PC. The anti piracy features they put on the old discs make it unplayable today (incompatible security features with newer windows models). It was just a fantastic game anyway, would be beautiful with a modern facelift.

Bearbeitet von epicperon: 7/31/2018 3:28:22 AMStar wars battlefront 2. The og one on ps2. I want that on ps4 with better graphics and no microtransactions. The new one sucks

MW3. I want to to be exactly the same though. Same graphics and all. So basically just want it to be backwards compatible on ps4. I just want to play it without hackers.

I would love to see Dragon Age: Origins get a remaster. With the graphics of Inquisition and the darker tones of the first two games, exploring Ferelden would be a beautiful experience.
And fighting Uldred in the Broken Circle quest would look three times as terrifying. By the Maker.
Dragon age origins: it's clunky in movement and while the graphics aren't bad, would be awesome to see it in the frost bite 3 engine like Inquisition. Mass effect 1: would look beautiful in the frost bite 3 engine as well (Andromeda really shows how good it can look) like DA:O. The combat can also be more fluid like the newer ME games. Honestly though I think I'd prefer a remake over a remaster in this case. Rebuild the various random worlds you can explore, add life to them. Rework the difficulty (I've played all the ME games on insanity and they're too easy 👍, ME1 however just makes things bullet sponges which I disapprove of). Make the citadel a little bigger and let you have more interactions with it I your own personal quarters for being in the Spectre program, hell let you also interact with a few other Spectres who approve/disapprove of your induction Jak and daxter trilogy: this one can be a weak case to me, it's not really clunky to me and while I'm sure the graphics can be upped, it's current looks still fit it. Oblivion: game would look beautiful if it used the same looks as Skyrim when it comes to engine upgrades. Plus I think they could make the movement and combat look better.

Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos.

Diablo 2 Age of empires 2 Need for speed underground 2 Wow I seem to like the second games. Also I would've said the spyro series but they already are so that's awesome

Bearbeitet von Swiftlock: 7/23/2018 12:26:03 AMBurnout 3: Takedown. Easily the best racing game I've ever played. It's criminal that the mediocre Burnout Paradise was more deserving of a remaster than Burnout 3. Timesplitters 2 and 3 would also make for fantastic remasters. Too bad that Timesplitters Rewind is caught in development hell.

Bearbeitet von Partisan: 7/22/2018 5:27:40 PMThis doesn't fit super well, but for the sake of variety, I'll say The Sims 3. Gameplay is great - features like the open world make it feel pretty modern - but its art style and performance hold it back. Sims are terrible to look at, the simulation lags and glitches, and load times for a save file are crazy long with just a few EP's. It would take more than a remaster to fix all the issues, but even just updating the Sims' art style would go a long way. Ultimately, a "fixed" Sims 3 would be much better than Sims 4 IMO. Editing to add Sim City 4. Probably an easier remaster overall. You could get away with just updating graphics and UI, but if you really want to do it right, you would need to redo the transportation system too. Sounds difficult, but a random modder managed to make it happen.

Jedi Knight/Dark Forces series, maybe reworked to fit the new canon
-
Descent. And the obligatory Half-Life.
you'd like to see remastered. My personal choice would have to be Republic Commando.
Remastered? Battlefront II, the good one. Continuation of? Republic Commando

If it's just a remaster in that time frame, I want DOOM 64 brought back for both awareness (I consider it more canon than DOOM 3) and slight modernization... if not that, then I want Parasite Eve 1 and 2 remastered.
actually, more remakes than remasters
The Jedi Knight series at the very least needs a port. Those games are so good.

Armed and dangerous for the land shark gun and topsey turvey device
-
Assassins Creed 2, but not an abomination.
-
Time splitters 2 Great game
-
Soul Reaver. I’ve wanted it remade since I stumbled on a website detailing the areas that were cut to meet release day and how to sequence break into the artefacts of them.

I would love to see a LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga get remastered. Pioneer game for its time. Amazing graphics, mechanics and characters
