Go to YouTube and play the Destiny OST. Memories of a darker time will come. Before Oryx, SIVA, Savathûn and Ghaul. When we had to find the black garden and find the vault of glass. When our guardians were still learning their abilities and doing “recreational tower jumping.” Remember Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner, back when you had to be made out of Iron to have fun in the Crucible? Remember the Queen and Petra and their fight against Oryx? Remember Shaxx and Cayde’s relation ship? Remember the Lore!

I recall when I first started playing Destiny, there was this one guy who befriended me & showed me the 'ropes'. He had a mic so whenever we played, besides telling me things, I could hear him humming songs & stuff. If I sometimes liked what he was humming, I would ask him to sing it aloud to me...which he did! He was a reasonably good singer I felt & was such a sport! ...I miss him. :(

Who remembers and still loves the OST "the last array"? Because I do

I remember when Crucible was the way it SHOULD be. You had a primary. You had a special. The special ALWAYS had ammo. D1's Crucible is now bad. D2's Crucible is lackluster. But there was a time...

There were a lot of QoL improvements made through the years that were great. The changes to the energies and shards, vendors, economies, etc. But I still liked the overall feel and progression of Y1 the best. To me, they started watering down everything once Trials came out when they moved the focal point more towards the middle between PvE and PvP. Forever 29 sucked, I know. Where's my Gally sucked even longer. But I hated raid armor that had the same stats as the stuff I got from planet vendors and engrams and guns that I wasn't jumping out of my seat to try out even more. It's why I still haven't done SoS. I already have armor that does the same thing and the two weapons aren't anything better than I already have.

I loved Skywatch, that went bat-Sh1t crazy in that area, wish they would have it again, in D2, "enemy move against each other" is a joke, really

Peter Dinklage blowing out the windows in my living room screaming about how it's a Priest. From the Prison of Elders. Nolan North will never top that.

I'd actually pay to have HoW crucible back with vanilla auto rifles.

Or just watch this.

The Quest for Thorn. Holy sh#t...😅

Running the nightfall for the first time and getting my first ever exotic The Icebreaker

Back when shooting into a cave for six hours was more interesting than the entirety of D2.

Bearbeitet von SparkySergeant: 7/17/2018 2:56:09 PMMy favorite memory was getting the NoT Time To Explain. And the quest for getting it was Amazing! Doing the incredible mission of going into the VoG and listening to Praedyth was awesome. And to boot, they added a hidden objective of finding these dead ghosts that would unlock the portal that everyone wondered what the hell it was there for. There’s more, but it was just so cool. My favorite D1 memory by far!

Im actually on D1 right now!...dancing on the moon waiting for a public event to show up for 15 legendary marks! lmao ...but hey, better than doing circles for hours looking for materials

My friend is a Destiny casual so I played some Prison of Elders with him on the weekend. We 2 manned Challenge of Elders and got the 30000 high score reward. He got a sweet roll on the Her Memory auto rifle (Hidden Hand, Rodeo, Perfect Balance) I’m still making good D1 memories even if D2 sucks.

Templar and Atheon before people figured out you could just push them off the platform. Also forever29.
-
Plain, simple and to the point.... I miss D1 mechanics over D2's, I have so many GOOD memories in D1 that I can't even list them all on here lol. The only thing I didn't miss is the RNG :( it really hated me with a passion :P I played D1 from the start on Xbox One and didn't get my ghally until 2 weeks before ROI came out from a nightfall in Winters Run, I remember marking out I was so excited until ROI then they gave you a quest to get it lol! But I loved my raid weapons though, my Hunger of Crota, Fatebringer and Vex Mythlocast! I play D1 on PS4 now but still have more fun in the first 10 minutes than I do in D2...

I remember getting my Gjallarhorn from the death singer in Croats End ❤️
-
I remember trying to find Valus the first time and Peter told me: "He's in a tank!" I was like: He's in a what now??!! Good times. Best memorys have to be my first Vault clear and getting the fatebringer. Or just patrolling the planets for the first time and looking at the sky and landscape. I still go to the cosmodrone to patrol and do some stuff. Man I loved this game.

Is this the post you didn’t like?

Man, I miss the good old days. Probably one of the highlights of Destiny 1 was when I figure out that the Iron Gjallarhorn didn’t have a level requirement, so I made a new character, equipped it on said character before I even unlocked a special weapon, and continued to cause havoc with a light level 340 iron gjallarhorn throughout all the campaigns
