This worked for me:
In the end, what worked for me was to set up a WiFi hotspot on my phone and log in the PS4 to that. Make sure your phone is NOT connected by WiFi to your router! Once you get Destiny running (i.e. you are in orbit) you can turn off the WiFi hotspot and reconnect the console to the router. You will get a disconnected message from Destiny but you should be able to log in using your router connection. Play destiny for a while before logging out again to make sure it remembers the connection. Next time you connect to Destiny it should work fine again.
As much as I hate to inform you of this... there are no hosting servers on Destiny 1 or 2. If you are encountering the servers being unavailable, then there is something hinky in your network setup that is preventing you from connecting to the servers. I would suggest doing the following FIRST and then follow up after if it does not work. * Power down your console, router and modem * Unplug all three of them COMPLETELY from the wall outlet (console, router, modem) * Leave all of them unplugged for >3 minutes * Plug in your modem, allow to sync for >2 minutes * Plug in your router, allow to sync for >2 minutes * Plug in your console, boot up, go to settings, go to network, run full network diagnostics * Write down your results for later use * Get out of settings and attempt to run Destiny 1/2 If the above steps do not work, please post your results from your network test here.

Just to be clear, I’m playing on PS4 without issue as I type this.

Settings> account management > restore licenses. See if that helps.
