When I go on holiday on a plane, my understanding is that it will fly at a level height in a straight line until we get there. And then a week or 2 later it will make the return straight-line journey.
If earth was round we would therefore fly off the world and in to the moon.
Round-earth theorists eat my evidence!

You would fly into the Moon only if it was in front of you. As it moves around the Earth, the chances of this are... Oh wait... I said it moves around... I withdraw.
-
The chances are 1/2 - you either hit it (the moon) or you don't. Right? Ah no, need to factor in that the moon is also flat, so need to know just how long it is. With it being long but thin (as flat things are, by comparison to their flat side) do they cancel each other out therefore still 2/1 odds of hitting the moon when my toy plane leaves the globe?
-
Actually, flat earthers have no problem believing and accepting that the sun, moon, Mars, all other planets and moons.... are spheroid in shape.
-
Except ours? Really? That's fukking mindblowing. Are you kidding? That's pissed me off a bit, where's the consistency? I don't get it I'm out.

This is why the are exceptionally crazy and delusional.

My cheese is flat so this makes sense
-
Shit I forgot it was made of cheese. Need to re-think this whole thing.
-
I get that a lot.

Life's hard man, you'll get there, don't sweat it.

Worse than that. I saw this fool proof video of a guy using a globe and a toy airplane to prove the earth must be flat. If you were to fly from the US to australia, your plane towards the end of the trip would be upside down and you would fall out of your seat. No better proof exists than that visual. That's amazing. Definite, irrefutable proof that the earth must be flat. Huge kudos to the lawyer guy for the straightforward explanation.
-
Remember, he's no fool.

In all seriousness, thank you for this. It's amazing. That guy is amazing. "I've won loads of hard law cases blah blah here I am with a fricking globe and a toy" brilliant. I hope this is real and not some clever comedian skit or something. I need him to be real. He's life-affirming.
