I love striking in D2 and I loved it a bunch more in D1. After tons of strikes under my belt I can say the most annoying thing in them is not a bad player (because they have the capacity to get better) it is a speed run player. Nowhere is this more apparent then in the Mercury strikes. Too often is there one player of the three randoms, speed running not only through the Infinite Forest but through all of the encounters in the strike, leaving the other two myself included to be overwhelmed by all of the ads the speed runner loads in. The end of the strike summary, if that speed runner stays in till the end, ends up being two players over 100 kills easy while the one has an abysmal 20 maybe 50 depending on which strike it is. Add in the fact that the SR player never revives ( I end up running past their ghost with the random friend I've made) and that they end up not contributing at all to the outcome of the strike, it makes it a very dull experience. A simple fix to this would be to include only a few of the gate lock Daemons in the Infinite Forest to not slow things down but to put some perspective on the task at hand. I was grateful that Bungie did away with the Speed Run Nightfalls and brought it back to a skill based teamwork milestone to overcome and I think they should do the same to the heroic strike playlist. I know there is probably no fixing any CoO content, honestly it could all use some work, but please put Daemons in these two strikes.

They don’t care. They want to get it over with. Adds aside, I also like my xp towards Tess and ammo for my weapons. I sit and wait. T-bag the corpse if they die without reviving them. Or let them handle the boss alone. With me they’ll be glad they saved all that time.
