With Forsaken coming up in September I want to propose an idea to Bungie to make factions relevant year round without having to rely solely on Faction rallies. Since Cayde will be dying in the DLC, that leaves open a space for doing flashpoints. With that in mind, allow Hideo to overtake flashpoints in the name of Earth's survivors. This would allow them to keep threats away from Earth as well as tackling the remaining ones that are on the planet. As for the Lakishma-2, allow her to give out bounties (with the addition of Heroic bounties for DLC participants only) similar to the D1 bounties as a way to halt enemy plans before they begin. For Arach Jalaal, I can't exactly say what he could do until the actual DLC drops, but please, take him off the planet before his nihilism infects everyone. Allow him to be some kind of future vendor in the Reef or wherever the public spots will be located. When the monthly faction Rallies occur, have representatives (they can be robots with the leaders speaking through them for all we care) from all three factions in both the Tower and Farm to take care of the rallies. Allow the actual leaders to take care of their own stuff as to not make things any more complicated than before. What would be the end result? Rallies would be unhindered but now the factions aren't irrelevant for weeks at a time. All three faction leaders would have something for you to do --be it daily or weekly, it's up to Bungie-- and they can even act like normal vendors that hand out the regular faction gear (rally representatives can hand out any DLC exclusives as well as the ornaments/winning items) What do you guys think? Would this give the factions an actual presence in the game for the long run? Or is this just a dream idea?
