You know that you can setup the raid gauntlets to melee for power ammo right?
I NEVER have issues running out, unless I don't punch anything, ever.

I think those gauntlets are pretty inconsistent with heavy drops and not as viable during the encounters when you need consistent heavy. The biggest problem being Pools on prestige Leviathan, where typically a different heavy is used than the entirety of the rest of the raid.

Seems like Prestige is where the "problem" is... the original post should probably have clarified that. I have not run the prestige raid (cant get anyone in my clan to run it) so I cannot comment on the ammo situation there.

The repeated time consuming "heavy" runs on top of the learning curve might be enough to push new players away in frustration which is NOT what Bungie should be doing right now. I'm a raider and I always want to see more people raiding so I hope they can implement a fair solution.
You know that you can setup the raid gauntlets to melee for power ammo right? I NEVER have issues running out, unless I don't punch anything, ever.
Yes, I'm well aware of that. I run those gauntlets ALL the time. Not to be THAT person, but just to give you some perspective on why you might not be fully informed of the issue as a whole. I checked your stats and you've only run the Leviathan 18 times and none of those on Prestige. My perspective comes from 328 runs, 119 of those Prestige and MANY MANY first time Prestige sherpa runs. I absolutely know what I'm talking about here. Again, not trying to be mean, just clarify that you might not have the whole picture with your "gauntlet" solution.

You should have included your perspective in your original post so people would have a better understanding.
You should have included your perspective in your original post so people would have a better understanding.
Well in my defense, I was trying to not post stats because people seem to lose their mind and resort to name calling and other such nonsense when stats get posted. The problem really should have been obvious to the game developer and it's a shame we have to point it out. I certainly don't think I've asked for anything unreasonable in my potential solutions.

I agree that people here go down crazy lane way too much, however I think it helps the dialog on forums when you can provide specifics to your concerns/issues to at least provide context. I know my original response to your post would have been different if I had known you were specifically talking about the Prestige raid/lair. Anyway, I do agree that endgame difficulty should not be increased by simply restricting ammo to the point you have none.
