Dedicated Servers are a relatively expensive option and D2 continues to plummet in player numbers. this will never happen.

lol like it would ever happen lol

With the amount of money they've made off Eververse alone, it shouldn't be too big of a hit. They can do it. They just choose not to.

no, I mean this would be decided by cost vs reward projections, same as all business decisions. as it stands, D2 has incredibly low online PvP numbers at the moment. adding dedicated servers will not bring it back to the glory days it's D1 peak so in business terms Dedicated Servers are money wasted and hence money that won't be spent.

If they had implemented it a long time ago the turnover would have been highly increasing, now, probably too late.

Bearbeitet von GrinderNo1: 3/7/2018 12:37:07 PMsame decision process was applied then, dude. "we've got loads of players already so don't need to spend money on Dedicated Servers to encourage people to buy." now it's "the game is being completely abandoned and all feedback shows people have no interest in it in it's current form so spending money on Dedicated Servers won't encourage people to buy or return". the lag is just the last straw for most PvP players. the fact that it's just f*cking boring getting team shot by 4 dudes with uriels constantly is the main thing driving down the numbers. Dedicated Servers won't make any difference to that.

Agreed, I’m honestly not as disappointed this time around as I was with destiny 1. This time I had much less expectations, and fairly low hopes that they would ever get their shit together. It’s saddening, but then again, I except nothing less from bungie at this point.

Bungie make a % off Eververse. Much of it goes to Activision and running costs. It would be a big hit hence why they weren't willing to invest in it the first time. They don't have the cash and likely don't have the networking expertise. For Honor is co-developed and published by Ubisoft who are willing to re-invest into their games to make them succeed.
