Lag isn't an issue in D2. Not sure the point of this.

I can't even...

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the same guy that said he feels sorry for anyone that doesn’t enjoy D2. Think about that.
-
The sacrifices made to make PvP more stable though without going with dedi's (4v4 downgrade, no choice in play lists, etc) make it the wrong decision IMO. Get dedicated servers and give us back our choice and play lists. Granted there may still be some lag from time to time but it will be much more manageable on dedicated servers and we get the modes and choices back that we want.
-
Dedicated servers aren’t the end-all be-all solution everyone hopes to be. With that said, it would go a looooooong way towards making PvP more fair and viable to the point where all these changes they made for D2 that put the entire franchise in jeopardy completely unnecessary.
Lag isn't an issue in D2. Not sure the point of this.
I'm fairly certain that might just be the most... I mean... Seriously... I can't even... *Deep Breath*... Right.. Ok. I've seen you post many things on here about this community being toxic, trolls, echo chambers, people just jumping on the hate bandwagon, not providing proper feedback etc etc etc. Seriously though... Do you honestly think that making a *bites knuckles* "statement" like that is in any way, shape or form constructive (or even accurate) feedback for the devs? So far today I've seen you say that Destiny 2 is the best shooter out there and that lag isn't an issue... I'd say every single person that has any hope left for this game should thank their lucky stars that you aren't the only person who's been providing feedback on this game.

A good Lost Sols post will challenge the community and make for good discussion.
-
Hmmm... Let's just agree to disagree on that one.
-
Sols did you do your PvP post by any chance ?
-
Not yet, just been busy. will link when I do

Bungie’s solutions for lag in peer-to-peer created more problems like 4v4 only, 2 playlists, and less of an emphasis on skill based matchmaking. Games with dedicated servers don’t have these restrictions.
-
Last PvP I played on a game with dedicated servers was Halo 5. It was laggy as could be and the gameplay sucked. D1 lag influenced those things, but most of it's issues came from just fracturing everything to much from the get go. Too many game types and playlists.
-
Halo 5 has its own problems, and the biggest one right now is clearly a lack of population. Dedicated servers can't increase the speed of light.
I used to be a Halo fanatic. Coming back to Halo this year with Halo 5 has been heartbreaking.
-
Your funny
-
You are delusional.
-
Even Bungie would agree there's some lag
-
Ok seriously, how delusional are you now? Lag DOES exist in destiny 2, maybe not as extreme as in d1 but it does exist. Just because "lord praise bungie defender" sols hasn't APPARENTLY seen it does not mean it doesn't exist
-
Lag exists in every online shooter. In D1 it was an issue. In D2 it's not. 👍
-
That isn’t true exactly. Have you played any IB this week? I played yesterday and it was terrible but I mostly attribute that to a dwindling player base so matchmaking is forced to match me with folks it wouldn’t normally.
-
Yeah, I've played a lot
-
It is kind of a big issue have you not played a game where you felt like a complete god, the opposite team goes down super fast with very few bullets and not from team shooting, then you play the next match and you put two whole clips into a guy and his shield is barely off? You have never seen a player 20 feet from you then in a split second he is magically right on top of you like he teleported and hes a Titan so its not a jump thing? I see it all the time the lag is real they just did a better job of covering it up...
-
Yes it exists in every online game, and yes it's not as bad as d1 was, but d2 lag is still FAR worse then any other online fps. Bullets don't register when it's a direct hit or bullets suddenly hit behind walls. People teleporting suddenly. All of this is still in d2, maybe not as extreme as in d1 but it is still here, and bungie feels the need to hide that fact by no longer showing connection bars
-
Far worse than every other online shooter? Come on now.
-
As a matter of fact yes. I've played halo, battlefront, battlefield, cod, and mmo games, none of which has ever lagged as much as destiny 2, the only comparison is destiny 1
