I’m not sure why anyone wouldn’t accept evolution. The religious crowd should see that it fits the story of the Bible quite nicely, and the scientific crowd sees all of the evidence backing the theory up.

There’s........there’s not any evidence.........
-
We've literally watched it happen. How is there not evidence?
-
How can you explain all the different species of the Earth? Not all of these species have been around for ever, and they didn’t just pop out of nowhere.
-
But molecules to man just doesn’t really make sense
-
I agree. There is no evidence that life can spontaneously pop up anywhere. I think God created man as he is (or, was since our species has noticeably changed over time).
But molecules to man just doesn’t really make sense

molecules
What?

I have a vague idea of some asshole in the sky that made us all for his own amusement.
-
I’m sorry, but I haven’t read anything about the two (evolution and the Bible) being compatible, unless you take some pretty big liberties.
-
How on Earth could we have all these different species on the Earth if Noah and the animals on his boat were the only ones who survived? Evolution, of course.
-
Yeah but that’s more of an adaption, or micro evolution. A cell to a complex human being is different, as it wasn’t just changing to the environment around it.
-
I never said that Humans evolved from microbes, or something of the sort.
-
Sorry. Guess I was assuming😉

I myself have not understood why so many want to continue to have this discussion. It’s another theory to try to explain how everything is here. None of them are definitively the correct explanation. They ALL require a certain amount of faith in the unknown. But around this same mountain we go, when the insults stop, nobody knows......
-
Well, microevolution has actually been proven. Macro evolution requires some faith, though.
-
Yes, we can play word games until we’re all blue in the face. Adaptation is a thing.
-
How was What I Said a word game?
-
That micro evolution’s existence is more evidence to support the overall theory of evolution, but it doesn’t get it to the finish line. But staunch evolutionists really pound it every time this debate comes up. My point, is they’re all theories. So everyone can pick one that makes them feel better and let others live their lives.
That micro evolution’s existence is more evidence to support the overall theory of evolution, but it doesn’t get it to the finish line.
Like I said, macro evolution requires some faith.
But staunch evolutionists really pound it every time this debate comes up.
Because that’s one of their strongest points.
My point, is they’re all theories. So everyone can pick one that makes them feel better and let others live their lives.
True, but some of these theories have more backing than others.
-
But it’s still a theory, like all the rest? Correct? So what are we doing here?
-
I’m not sure. Perhaps we are here just to appease the gods of b.net.
