No self regenerating ammo. That was a big mistake in D1.

I got sniped by it twice tonight in D1 control. It can stay there as far as I’m concerned. lol.

I used icebreaker to generate ammo for my patience and time. Before they reduced the mad size that is.

I'm glad the post got so many ppl talking about this. What saddens me is the ppl saying that it shouldn't be because snipers need to continue to be the worst option because they are still tired from being domed in d1. I find it funny, that people complain on here about the team shot meta, and bringing back ice breaker, or even a new sniper or linear fusion, that could regenerate ammo would give you the opportunity to fight back as a solo player. If you became good with a heavy ike the ice breaker you could take on more than a 1v1 at range. Just imagine it, stating across the gap at on emperor's respite; two ppl with Midas hard scoping that lane. You have this sniper that has finally generated you two round, you peak in and out and manage to drop one with body shots...now you have the chance to take the other down with your nameless...finally, you 1v2 successfully at range without having to fight for heavy. What makes me happy are the optimistic ppl who see what I meant by bringing back ice breaker. That there is no way it could be how it was in d1. So what I meant was; bungie should make a ice breaker style power weapon, something that is considered a "sniper" style weapon. Whether thats a sniper or linear fusion, if it generated it's own ammo, say 1 round ever 10 - 20 seconds, with it only beginning 30 - 45 seconds after spawn. The mag would have a Max of 4 rounds. If you have ever used snipers or linear fusion rifles in d2 you know as I do that it is so much harder than d2, you cannot just Sprint and slide a corner and quick scope someone right in the coconut. The flinch is horrible, and it takes a lot of practice and skill to hit head shots. You will also know that 4 rounds would go away really fast, if you even managed to accumulate the whole magazine. For example linear fusions usually have 6 ammo from power, and it's one shot kill to the head, usually 2 to the body, therefor it has a huge potential for many kills per ammo pick up. Yet no one uses it as it's flinch is so hard. The same would be for this "ice breaker" I want back. It would give ppl who are able to have long range skill and weapon skill to fight the colony/sins heavy as well as the team shot scout rifle meta. But if you are trying to argue that it would be over powered, then I challenge you to grab a sniper with dragonfly, pick up power, and with 4 rounds quickly headshot 4 ppl. I guarantee you will maybe get 1 kill, but most likely you will shoot once, panic shoot the last 3 rounds all while missing horribly because of the flinch. What I'm saying is, everyone would try to use it, however, most people would shortly after switch back to something like colony that is an easy almost guaranteed 2 kills. But those skilled would be rewarded. I'm not hoping for my d1 ice breaker back, I'm hoping for them to bring ice breaker into the d2 sniper world.

Sad enough: (Predictions) Sniper flinch in D2 is atrocious Predicting a 8 second ammo regeneration time High zoom scope Weak explosion similar to Dragon Fly perk Wouldn’t out DPS Sins of the Past or Coldheart on Calus or Argos Poor handling Regen time for one bullet isn’t as viable in a raid Borealis would be a better exotic sniper. (More useful to change elements when needed. Power ammo drops fairly enough.) Shepard’s Watch would be a better sniper in PvP then Ice Breaker, even Widow’s Bite. Ultimately would sit in your vault until sniper rifles get buffed; they need it.
