The charred husk that was Statesman Tha'uul had revealed several things before he expired. He had mistaken her for a “warrior of the Light,” one of their “storm bringers” who apparently bore a resemblance to the Fulminator. She wished to see one of them. No biped was ever anything like her. She felt something like regret when Tha'uul said his people were mobilizing to annihilate them.
She made other reports to Calus, pertaining to the locations of Red Legion armories and fleet movements. He only cared about one. Now that the military was in power, in Calus's absence, military parades on Cabal worlds were commonplace. Ghaul's flagship would take part in one such celebration, on Resignation Day, in the fringes of the Sol system, in honor of a mythic Praetor.
<That's the lore tab for the Robes of the Fulminator from the Leviathan normal raid set.
I never noticed this until now. "Warrior of the Light" and on of their "storm bringers".
The fleet was mobilizing to annihilate them. Ghaul was found on the fringes of the Sol System when the Shadows made their last stand.
The warriors are us. We are the storm bringers to the Cabal. Stormcaller master subclass confirmed.
Also the Fulminator wished to see us. We might have actually gotten to see her if she and every other shadow wasn't killed off..>

Honestly, I wanted to see the Fulminator as well. She sounds... Electrifying.
-
URBAN F’IN LEGEND! We all know it was the power of Peregrine Grieves that the Cabal feared and made a special trip to the tower to destroy our vaults to eliminate that sweet exotic.
-
It's only lore until D3, calm yourself
-
It's all folklore now
-
The who?
-
Too bad Ghauls plan went to shit because of his own obsessions and ego. Also Mr/Mrs. Golfball obliterated him......because getting disintegrated puts a damper on your plans I'm sure. . Was hoping Ghaul was going to be this great villain we'd have to deal with for a long ass time. But nah....lets scrap that potential and replace it with your standard cliché ''started from nothing villain'' that has all this badass training, massive intelligence, master strategy, and thinks outside of the norm......only to have his ego/obsession get in the way at the last minute. . Going to stop now before I go into another pointless rant.
-
Masters of being boring as hell. D1 I mained warlocks the whole run. D2 they get a hearty “meh”. Stormcaller’s super is nice and all, but I’ll take triple jump, cluster grenades and nighthawk or bubbles and captain America shields all day long over a lacklustre Sith Lord.... thanks but no thanks.
-
That would have made such an awesome subclass quest Like listening to the fulminator Hopefully we will meet an arcborn in he future
-
I'm kind of interested to know the story behind "Resignation Day" and the "mythic Praetor". Resignation Day is weird name for a holiday. Did someone quit or was someone resigned to their fate?
-
Lol what are you whittering on about, u strange human.
-
This is neat, but...does this knowledge translate in any meaningful way to decisions we make in-game? I love the idea that there's all these dots to connect, but until that idea manifests in some kind of meaningful way, it seems more like a 'something to do to pass the time' thing. It would be incredible if for example when you discover one of these dots to connect, that in turn is something the community at large can take advantage of, or as part of some bigger RP1-esque easter egg hunt within the Destiny Universe. Maybe a weapon/gear quest that spans multiple DLC's? Maybe you need to unlock both this info, AND then an ever changing cryptography key that constantly changes the location of needed piece which must also be constantly updated and deciphered (so it's not a dog pile once someone like yourself finds it, and you get to actually enjoy being the first to find it for a while longer OR decide to benevolently lead everyone else to it). Adds some meaning and tangibility to the lore.
-
Well thanks to Margaret stool and that fat @ss Christine thompson, its all folklore now.
-
You lore guys do some great work.
-
it reffers to a specific weapon that got nerfed some time ago, rather than a subclass.
-
The fulminator is an arc born, a creature born of pure energy. I don't think it's us they are talking about, because it wouldn't make sense for stormcaller, striker, and arcstrider to be the only few
-
It’s too bad this story isn’t in-game.
-
And again, really cool lore that’s NOT IN THE GAME. The biggest missed opportunity they had was to think it was a good idea to make ppl go to a source outside the game to get the story for the game. /biggest facepalm ever Why in the HELL is none of this in the game?
-
“Exited properly.”
-
Wait this game actually has lore :-0
-
Um... no.... the Fulminator is part of a race of beings made entirely out of pure Arc energy. It is not about us.
-
Diarrhea

Bearbeitet von Quasar in a Can: 2/18/2018 3:58:36 PMYou guys shouldnt be this interested in the lore, its garbage. The only good lore was what Joe Staten wrote before he was fired.
-
Damn. I never picked up on that either. It's so weird to think that this lore literally happened right before D2, probably while we were still dealing with SIVA
-
Holy Crap.... I never noticed this...
-
That's some good lore.
-
pretty sure it's not us
