Destiny 2 will never surpass Destiny, and as long as all the wrong people are working on it no Destiny game will ever match the first one. Remember that i said that.

On the possible chance you end up wrong, am I allowed to refer back to this comment if we ever meet in the future?
-
Sure, and then we can do a raid.
-
Splendid! I'll gladly raid with ya

Never say never. D2 has plenty of content. The systems in the game is what’s killing it . I.e. weapon systems, progression systems, loot systems, etc. All Bungie would have to do is bring back systems that were in D1 or an updated cooler version of D1’s setup and it would be on par and could surpass D1 with the next few expansions. Bungie could do it very easily.

I know, but they wont, very stubborn they are. It would be nice, though. But still, as good as D2 looks the environments are missing something. I explored the living crap out of destiny, 3400 hours worth. And i still like the place. D2 looks good but i find nothing compelling me to just go off and explore. Right now i dont play at all.

I find that really surprising. destiny 1's worlds were so empty and boring. There was nothing there. Now we have lost sectors, public events, world chests and adventures that all operate off a working map system. I enjoy D2 world's much more. Its the other playlists (strike and Crucible) that disappoint me about D2.
-
Well, in the early days, and with each DLC, there were the ghosts and fragments and things to find, that helped a lot to make exploration by itself cool. I don’t like the crucible and strike lists either, in fact I think most of the D2 strikes suck. And you can’t pick which game type for crucible.

Remember how they said they were working with new tools that would make changes and updates easier? I am starting to wonder if they are. If they aren't... adjust your expectations downward.

My destiny expectations are gone.
