When the IB loading screen is 'Evaluating Guardians' what the -blam!- is it actually doing? I have a win/loss ratio of about 33% in Season 2 IB, yet I'm never the worst player on the team so I don't see how it's down to my incompetence. 2 bunches of randomised players should surely result in 50% win/loss? To find such lazy team matching on top of the utter lack of single player content, and lack of anything worth grinding for, D2 really is dying on its arse from my POV. Anyone from Bungie care to comment?

Dude, I jumped on earlier today with my Titan and won 9 matches in a row. Your situation is not everyone's.
-
So what your asking for is for matchmaking to pair you up against people that you can wipe the floor with? That is no where near possible in any strectch. That would put people on the other team in the same position your crying about. Let it go..... just let it go.
-
It's matching you with people in a different solar system for maximum connectivity. That's why it takes so long.
-
it's ib what do you expect
-
Bungie won't comment but they are listening and want you to keep the feedback coming. All this feedback is allowing them to work out what they need to remove for D3.

Im always first place on my team(sometimes the lobby) and still loose games. Last night i went about 6 straight hours without a w

IB uses the same match making as quick play. It’s connection based not skill based. Best player in the world can’t carry a bad team

I really think Bungie needs to implement an IN-GAME ranking system for PvP to address this exact issue. Trust me, I felt it myself. I have a high ELO score in Iron Banner (I know most players hate hearing about this, but it really is the only way to check your ranking against other players), and I would constantly get paired up with players from tons of different scores across numerous games. Most of the time these were players at much lower levels than myself. This would result in terrible games. I don't understand the point of Iron Banner and PvP as a whole, if there isn't any sort of ascending progression of skill across the entire player community. Because losing 4 games straight, is never fun. And I don't want to hear, oh it makes you better, because that shit does not make you a better player if it's a 4 on 2, and you can't even talk to your teammate.
-
People were complaining that 'clutch weapons + level advantage' as a problem in Iron banner, but now we here and it's probably that the complainers are the problem.
-
I think it's fine. When my team sticks together we usually win or put up a good fight. When my team runs around without teamwork I expect a loss. I don't have much to complain about Iron Banner.
-
Even if the matchmaking system did what it should we are at a point now where the player count has dropped to a point where you would get crap lobbies regardless cause there aren’t enough people playing.
-
Totally agree. My current W/L ratio is also 33% in IB for D2. I have participated in all IB since D1 and when I was soloing IB my winning ratio was 45%. I understand that the skill based match making aspect has been tuned down. But it does not explain why the gap between the 2 teams is quite big so often that it looks suspicious. It makes the experience non enjoyable whatever you win or lose.
-
Might have already been said, but in Destiny Companion App, when you look at the individual matches, it shows a prediction about which team will win. Maybe their Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning algorithm is seeing how good it is at its job. ...at the expense of our experience in the game. (I am assuming it is trying to see how ‘well’ it can match) Again, just a ‘conspiracy theory’ on that, but its just an idea....

Bearbeitet von escape1226: 2/4/2018 10:57:00 PMBungie won’t do Cbmm no matter how much we scream. I played on my sons acct and the bullets registration was amazing. 23 straight matches of having every bullet register. Hop on mine 6 straight losses against stacked cheating bitches with the worst target and bullet registration of any shooter. They don’t understand that in a shooter connection and ping wins fights most the time. Unless they are lagging balls for the win. I hate this shit so bad. Bad Hit detection has become something we just shrug off. Wtf is wrong with this horrible as model. They promised it would be better in D2 and the security for cheating bitches would be better. Nope just more lies so they don’t have to spend. Holy shit bungie fix this dam game.

It sucks, I agree. The problem is that the fully stacked teams win a lot more than 50%, so that leaves the solo players scraping up less than 50% win/loss even when matchmaking tries to balance things out. If there was a solo only queue you'd probably end up closer to 50% than you do now. It also sometimes just sometimes seems to just lay an egg. I've had all random matches where it seemed like the four better players all were placed on the same team. Maybe it was just unexpected synergy, but it didn't feel like it could be chalked up to that.

My KD is nothing special. I’ve pretty much solo qued this entire IB and my KD has remained at 1.1. I’ve played a total of 52 matches and lost way more than I’ve won. My ELO for IB now sits at under 900 despite finishing with a positive KD in most matches. Not all, but most. Where the matchmaking sucks is when you have 1 team with 1220 plus ELO running as a fireteam versus 4 randoms with a much lower average. There’s definitely a smaller player base, I get that but the matchmaking definitely needs some adjustment without question.

Same here, I'm honestly terrible at D2 pvp and I have been either #1 or a close #2 this iron Banner

Today I did a bunch of matches to get my final ornament, and in one match I had 5 kills and 2 advantages; the next match I had 19 kills and 15 advantages. My team won both matches, but I can't understand the difference in my results. The only difference I saw in the games was lag. In the 5/2 game I got DCed, then had a black screen for 30 seconds or so; 19/15 game was smooth. I'm guessing skill matters less than connection speed.
