By the time Sept rolls around we'll most likely have Anthem, Borderlands 3, cyberpunk 2077 etc.. Potentially killing off D2 of certainly.
Just take some years to perfect the game destiny should have been. We all know you can but at this point bungie has been putting all their effort into "fixing" problems rather than making their games better.
Idk just a thought...

Anthem is delayed until 2019 so that Bioware has more time to figure out how to make a game that isn't a micro transaction nightmare.
-
Borderlands 3 by end of year? That’s a long shot! Cyberpunk maybe, but good chance won’t be out till next year, though you never know. Anthem is very likely, plus any other big games that haven’t been announced yet
-
Not even to mention Monster Hunter this Thursday
-
No matter what Bungie do with Destiny form here on out, other games will be my main games. Destiny will no longer take up 95% of my game time, honestly it probably won't take up any of my game time. Bungie have made too many bad decision with Destiny, it's now dead to me
-
Destiny's competitors are now so far ahead of Bungie's game that I don't think they will ever catch up. And I'm betting that devs behind the the likes of Borderlands 3 and Anthem have been watching Destiny over the years and have learned from its failures and successes to a degree that Bungie have demonstrated themselves incapable of doing themselves.
-
I think Half Life 3 will be out before a good change made by Bungie.
-
Even if they were given 5-6 years to develop Destiny 3, they would inexplicably restart development 1.5 years from release and put out a barren game. Just like D1 and D2. I don't see how giving them a 3rd shot would garner any different results.
-
Bungie knew what they were getting in to when they signed the contract, all they seen was money, Activision aren’t solely to blame.
-
Sigh... They're already working on D3 at the moment. D2 has already been handed to the live team. What's the point in ditching it - they can continue to learning from it until D3 is released plus I've spent $100 on this game, I don't want it 'ditched'.
-
expect this is Bungies design philosophy for Destiny based off the contract with Activision. Destiny 2 is mirroring Destiny 1. Two dlc's that didn't really fix any of the big issues to only have a rework with TTK in Sept a year after launch. Unless Destiny revisits the contract with Activsion expect D3 to have its fair share of issues

Bearbeitet von Durandal: 1/23/2018 8:04:09 AMYou mean the anthem that has had multiple leads leave, with the most recent being the lead animator? Or, in other words, one of the major things the poo birds here harp on about why destiny is bad. Remember, people constantly bring up departures of people from bungie as to why destiny has problems. Or borderlands 3? You mean a sequel to the series where the most recent entries are a direct template for what eververse is? Does no one else remember the mountain of microtransactions the end phases of 2, the presequel, and even the handsome collection became? At least with eververse you earn content from playing and even get currency from that to use in the store to buy a thing. Borderlands it was just a straight up cash transaction every time they added anything new. Wanted a holiday themed shader or head? Cash. But it's only cosmetics, right? Oh... Wait. I mean, they have even gone out there into the world and said how integral and important microtransactions are to their business model with the borderlands franchise. When are people planning on jumping on their forums and throwing a fit for a month? Pair that with how they at first encouraged and then completely shat all over the modding community (the people who actually kept the game fun for a long time on the previous gen consoles and helped bring new people to the series with outrageously fun stuff to use) during borderlands 2s initial run, and I just shake my head.

Heck yeah! Borderlands 3!

Sometimes a great game has to start sucking to make way for other games to shine.... unspoken unwritten mantra of video game developers.
-
For me to remain interested in d2 it needs random rolls added before Borderlands 3 is released. Need something to grind that ain't static gear like the Lost Prophecy weapons.

Bearbeitet von zNapSack: 1/23/2018 6:42:13 AMDitch D2 and spend 3-5 yrs making a final Destiny? That's a great idea! Now all either you or Bungie need to do is convince Activision to finance its development over the next three to five years. Because I'm guessing that Bungie employees don't work for free.
-
No way Activision would allow the Destiny franchise to go that long without a release. Not enough $$$ there my friend.

I kinda bet this is exactly what they'll do. Release spring DLC, set up September DLC to just be seasons of events with drip fed reskins and a horde mode, and then go back to the drawing board for D3 in time for Xmas 2019. They'll fix the weapon systems, spend more time on PVP modes, and generally come up with a less grindy D1 mixed with a less cringy D2.
